My Nexus just called out to Verizon for programming... AGAIN! This is happening wayyy to often, like every 7-10 days: in fact, Tier 2 tech support told me that if my Nexus keeps trying to call *228 (or an equivalent) for programming, it'll eventually fry the SIM card.

Naturally, they can't just look into their computer system and tell my what my phone is doing, so what is their solution?

Factory reset. Of course.

They suspect that an app is wreaking havoc with the system and telling it to call out to Verizon. Well, on the other side of the reset all my apps are gonna come back so what good will THAT do?

I really, really don't want to reset my phone. Can anyone in here shed some light on what Ginny is doing?

I'm thinking 6:15-ish.:D I'll have to stop at the store to grab the lobsters and cod. We had the shrimp in the freezer and fresh garlic kicking around so I have those marinating now. I'll cook the cod in foil packets with a touch of olive oil, onions, tomatoes, and red peppers so they are really healthy. Just have to stay away from the butter with the lobsters and we should be OK. I love living in New England, fresh seafood is readily available.
I am with you on the fresh seafood, we catch our own blue crabs (my favorite)and fish; clams and oysters are yours for the digging. Shrimp are very affordable, you can get them right off the boats when they come in for the day. We cooked some cobia last week like you did your cod, yum!

Whats been going on with ajdroidx

Some good news, I guess:
Being a really shy guy I have trouble talking with attractive ladies. Cold approach yeah, right but if its someone I have been around, well, thats a bit of a different story. With that being said, I kind have started talking with a pretty gal. She is shy like me, which makes it a bit easier to talk to her. Just a couple problems though...
She is a co-worker. Which is not too bad, but could get awkward, but I guess that don't matter because she is taken. :( and she has kids ... :(

I guess I know how to pick em

And some work related ranting:
Walked in today to work and pretty much got chewed out by a fellow co-worker because I did not get something done that he can always get done. This was pretty much the last straw and I went off a bit then put in a transfer to another store. Feels like I can't do anything right for them at this store, but it feels every one passes the buck and tries to not work and point fingers, stab backs and throw others under the bus. Everyone seems to think only for them selfs and don't feel like there is much team work.

My managers freaked out going on a stint saying the grass is not always greener, other stores are going to be the same and blablabla and I told them I am getting burned out and sick of doing what I am doing right now.

I said I would stay at this location ONLY if I could go up front instead of breaking my back only to get criticized for not getting everything done when often times those same co workers don't get everything done either

Ok - well on the woman you are talking to.....let's look at this in a positive manner, she is a spring board. Brush up on male/female conversation and then move on to someone you don't know as well.

Work, sucks for most of us no matter where we are. Sorry yours is causing such a headache though.

Nah. I've always thought that 'leagues' and dating are silly. You can love across any so called social lines if you have the fortitude to stare at stupid and walk away from it.

I think I miss read your "springboard" comment then :)

Springboard = if I can talk to one, I can talk to another, correct? Or a jumping off point in other words

Sorry my brain is fried right now from work women and lack of sleep :D

Morning all!

BB- I think I have to vote for #2 as well, it seems more you.

So son's first T-ball game was last night. (last weekend's got rained out). They have fun, so that is what counts, but it is torture watching it from the stands. The rules for them make it so boring to watch. But I am not going to criticize, because I realized last night there is no way these kids could play for real yet. Also two of the coaches on my sons team are Georgia Southern Football players (these guys are huge). Problem is they can't get there until almost 7 on Tuesdays, which means for half the games they can't get there until they are halfway through... So the other poor coach was trying to do it all. I ended up helping out until they got there. I wish I had time to coach them for real, because I love to do it... Oh well soccer starts back up in the fall, thats my favorite.

Daily Steals Today Mobile

For those of you still needing more power for our Nexie's. Daily Steals has a 5000mah small charger that can charge your phone on the fly when you do not have access to electricity. I have a similar one for about 2 years and while I have not needed it a lot, It has proved useful at various times (airplanes, camping etc). They are offering it for $29.99, dual USB charging ports, tips for micro or Mini usb. I have bought other things from them, they are reliable, shipping is not fast, but the prices are usually good. Check it out if it would fit a need!

Correct. We all look different but, for the most part, if you can talk to one then you can talk to another. And I will tell you that most women (the ones I have known in life anyway) think a shy man is cuter/sexier.....because we have all known one and we realize it takes a lot for you to come out of your shell like that. :D

Yeah I use this: (a good starting point for ya's)

- Light sensor filter = enabled, window length 10s, reset threshold 400lux, sample interval 1s.

- Light levels = use custom check, screen dim level 20 default, allow light decrease check (I like it to lower automatically as well) and decrease hysteresis 50%

Here is my Edit other levels screen settings:

af9541a8.png

Thanks for some extra input. I've done all the hysteresis, sample intervals, reset thresholds, etc. I'm now tweaking my custom levels. Yesterday I went outside in the large covered breezeway and found that it provides a very nice gradual increas in light levels from about 200-6,000 so I went out there and adjusted a level at 200 which is a tad above indoor light levels all the way to 6,000 which is a nice shady area on the edge of sunlight. Now I've got to go back in and delete the not needed levels. I was at 25 intervals but I think I can get away with 10-15 pretty easily. I'll post my tweaked levels today if I can remember.

Hunger Games was great. But now I HAVE TO read the books because I can't wait for the other movies to come out.

If you read the books, you may not even want to see the movies. The first book compared with the first movie isn't even fair. Book blows the movie away, even as good as the movie was. The 2nd book is BY FAR my favorite. The 1st is in a close race with the 3rd for my 2nd favorite. I plan on re-reading the first and second books right before the 2nd movie comes out. May re-read the first one again pretty soon just to refresh my memory on the differences in it and the movie.

It wasn't me! I swear!!!

I have to tell you no one is as unhappy about this situation as other airline pilots. I'm not looking forward to the ramifications.

I feel for ya. As with the nuclear power industry, any time we have the ability to negatively affect the health/safety of the public, they want to take all those variables out of the equation or at least minimize the chances of it happening to an extremely low level and most of the time they go overboard with it. They impliment different procedures and such to minimize that risk but then will add tons of administrative controls that don't further minimize it, just make it a headache. Ramifications will come out of it I'm sure and I definitely feel your pain.
