I managed to learn how to tweek some lines into the buil.prop file to make our phones a little more smoother..

Make sure you make a backup of your buil.prop file in your system/ directory!
In case you forget to make a backup! Download origianl buil.prop at the bottom of this post.

The blue is what I updated!

Here is what I've managed to tweak so far:

#Allows the phone to sleep better
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=1

#Saves power when phone is sleep
pm.sleep_mode=1

#Allows your wifi to scan less, saving more battery
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=150

#Helps Scrolling Responsiveness
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150

#Increase overal touch responsivenss
Debug.performance.tuning=1
Video.accelerate.hw=1

#Makes streaming videos stream faster
media.stagefright.enable-player=true
media.stagefright.enable-meta=true
media.stagefright.enable-scan=true
media.stagefright.enable-http=true
[media.stagefright.enable-record=true not false] fixed for video recording thanks to wyldesolos

#Increases quality of photo and videos
ro.media.dec.jpeg.memcap=8000000
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=8000000

#Raises quality of JPEG images
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100

#To make the phone ring faster when dialing out
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=800

#Disable black screen issue after call
ro.lge.proximity.delay=25
mot.proximity.delay=25

#Faster 3G
ro.ril.enable.dtm=1
ro.ril.gprsclass=12
ro.ril.enable.3g.prefix=1
ro.ril.hsdpa.category=20
ro.ril.hsupa.category=6
ro.ril.hsxpa=3
net.tcp.buffersize.default=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.umts=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.gprs=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.edge=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960

#camera/video [deleted]
ro.camcorder.videoModes=true
ro.media.capture.maxres=5m

#Forces your home launcher into memory
ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1

There is a few more tweeks I think I missed I will report them when I feel like it.

So far it seems to be running smoother and my battery has not drained while in sleep mode. I'm now goiong 24 hours of testing.

Edit: Video Streaming seems to be a little faster on 3G.

Please leave feedback and let me know if it worked out for you?

How to replace build.porp:

1. Download Es File Explorer

2.CLick menu, settings, check Root Explorer and Mount File System

3.Copy the buil.prop file into the sd card and copy with file manager

4.Click Favorites tab, Click Phone icon /

5.Navagate to system/

6.Rename build.prop to build.bak

7.Paste build.prop you copied earlier

Reboot!

Done!

Apr 12:

Just in case you need the origianl:

#camera/video
ro.camcorder.videoModes=true
ro.media.capture.maxres=5m

^^so what is the point of this line? You cant make the camera capture a picture or video above that resolution bc the hardware doesnt support it. And surely you wouldnt want to degrade the quality of them by lowering max res. So what would be the point in being able to edit this setting?

You are right. I have not had much time to edit this thread much. You can delete it manually using a text editor and open the build.prop to delete the lines. Thanks.

okay guys i edited something in this file and now am apparently bricked. I can boot into clockwork recovery but for some reason the navigation does not respond to button presses. I can push the power button and it shows the clockwork sleep screen but nothing else will work. IS there any program i can use to flash a rom through windows?

To fix video recording:

change this line: "media.stagefright.enable-record=false" to "media.stagefright.enable-record=true"

By enabling the stagefright architecture i believe it forces all media processes involving video to use stagefright instead of the default opencore. Therefore recording must be enabled with stagefright. if anyone has problems with distortion or artifacts while streaming video (e.g. youtube,netflix,etc) then you could try disabling stagefright completely.
