Why does iPhone have a lot better games than playstore?

And some good games that apple and android had are now only for apple. Wtf is up with that. I have 0 fun games because on playstore the top games are so outdated but that's the best android has...

I wouldn't underestimate the games we have on Android. We are constantly getting more and more. I don't understand how you can call MC3, Shadowgun, GTA III, Riptide GP, or Shine Runner outdated. Yes iOS does have quite a few more games, but Android is starting to catch up.

GTA III is no longer in the play store, and all the others are paid so ive never tried them. I just used to finding a good game on apple app store and 90% of the time its free or .99cents

GTA III is still showing in the Play Store on my Galaxy Note and Nexus S, even when logged into a different Google account. Also, you basically just explained why Android doesn't have as many quality games. If you want quality games you have to pay for them, several developers stay away from the Play Store since Android users are referred to as being "cheapskates". If the developers can't make money off of their games, why would they even want to develop for this OS?

If more people paid for apps we would see a lot more of them. I'm one of the few people that would spend $20 on a console quality game. I only paid $5 for Shadowgun and after playing it, I still think that price is a steal. I don't understand why people are so willing to spend $60 for an Xbox game, but spending $5 for a lengthy, high quality mobile game is way too much.

^^^^ This right here.

I have seen many games that make having Android a blast...

Emulators: I have GBA, GBC, NES, SNES, N64, and PSX on my phone.
Grand Theft Auto III
ShadowGun: Its like Gears of War in your pocket
Zenonia series
Gameloft makes several games that are based off of other quality console games Backstab(Assassin's Creed), Nova(Halo), Modern Combat(Call of Duty).

To say that we don't have quality games is misleading. You just have to pay for them.

I agree, Apple does have better games. But Apple's app store are most games, they don't have as much as useful or productive apps as we do.

But.. doesn't matter, I still stay with Android ;)

You can't be serious. Productive Apps?

iOS has better selection of productivity apps as well - Office Suite, Annotations tools, CAD, Medical, PDF, Workflow, connectivity.

And also content creation apps... Garage Band, iMovie, iPhoto. Nothing even comparable on Android to those 3 apps. iPhone has better video editing apps, Photo, camera and music apps.

Android's strengths is in the free ad ad-supported apps. The live wallpapers and rooted stuff like Samba File Server, tethering.

Some new evidence to dispute android users as being cheapskates:
Android gamers not cheapskates after all, according to Humble Bundle data

Because, in recent times Mobile Games/App Development companies have increased like fire. Every other software company has some app for mobile. While its not same with the consoles. Use of mobile is more then console. So its obvious !

I wouldn't necessarily say iphone have better games. Android provides very good games not to mention the third party options like gameloft and onlive. The editing features apple has such as imove, iphoto and more, Android has some sort of app for those features. Now iphone do have a history of getting things first but eventually when an app is popular, it comes to Android.

Its not about the evidence, its about the impression on the developers.

I don't believe developers are under any "impression". If they get paid well from a company, they make products for them. It is a fact, Apple pays well and institutes a pretty descent app store to try and prevent piracy of apps, so developers get their money. Of course, with this UDID issue going on with Apple, there may be some slow down in the near future.

I will say, having used webos app store, google play and the app store, Apple's is the most well run store, with ease of use and the most apps for my specific needs. But I have found some Android gems, that I would never have found or bought from Apple... Hello swipepad!

And that's another issue in itself. You have games that are available for certain phone models and not others. Games that are available for tegra phones but not snapdragon phones. Games that are available for 2.3 but not 2.2. This is one of the main reasons why IOS will pretty much always get games/apps before we do because the developers don't have to program the app to work 100 different ways for them. It goes all the way across from the iphone to the ipad with one version.

When they develop for Android they have to make a version for 2.2, 2.3, Honeycomb, and ICS. Hell there a ton of apps and games that STILL haven't updated to become compatible with ICS yet. Until Android fixes that problem we will continue to get apps months after they do. Look at Temple Run and instagram for example.

Not true.

They DO need to take into account the different versions as new features get added to Android and then code and test for them. But the "different versions" thing is a lie peddled by the (cr)Apple community.

Something developed specifically for 2.3 will not work on 2.2 because some of the required features will not be present. The same will happen for an app developed for iOS5 might not run on iOS4.

In an ideal world you would expect the code app written for 2.3 should be OK on 4.0 but this is not always the case and you will have to do a bit of tweaking. I work in software development for the desktop and we have stuff built on XP that will not run in Vista without some changes...same scenario.

I can't speak for iOS apps as it's been several years since I used an iDevice, but there are apps that do all of those things on Android. Android has at least 2-3 office suites I can think of. It's got Annotations, CAD, etc.... as well. I use content creation apps all the time on my Android device. I can't say whether they're as good as iOS or not as I have nothing to compare them to, but they do work and do what I need/want them to do.

Personally a lot of applications and games are on both stores. But it seems that a lot of people like dealing with the Apple store just because, even though it costs more to get a license and such, but just because they only have to really make the application or game compatible with like 2-3 devices. Which is really simple. There are a lot of android devices and sometimes games are compatible or just run badly.

Plus I think devs think they can make more money off producing a game for the iPhone, which they might be right, considering a lot more apps/games cost more on the Apple store than the play store.
