Root Miui Rom?

is there a MIUI rom or a port for lg ally? i seen my friend have it on his sensation lol, it looked pretty sick.

Is there still a want for a MIUI port on the Ally? My wife just dropped her's and the screen shattered. Its still usable so I was thinking about using it to port MIUI ICS, but figured I'd see how many people actually want a port for it.

wont happen until we getting a working ICS build first. Rgocal is working on something similar .. hell im trying to do something ... [Not working lol]

I didn't realize the Ally didn't have an ICS based ROM yet. Oh well. I can still port GB MIUI if there isn't a port already available.

The only GB build for Ally is Project Gretel and it's mising much drivers to work right. Just like my thread about how the Ally will never get a fully working cm6/7/ICS, it will never get a fully working MIUI just because Lg didn't give us enough source.

U do have a point what's wrong with trying right? Most have their ally's retired. And what exactly do u mean by enough sources?

Now, I'm no expert on this since I don't actually do the building of Android and stuff, but LG never released the kernel source or some other kind of source. death2all110 has tried a cm6 build but it was missing too much stuff to be workable. If LG had done stuff differently, the Ally might have cm6/7

Damn you LG! lol .. so its basically impossible to port a MIUI rom without it working completely? ..

Anything other than modded Stock ROMS will not work completely.

what if we tried to make a PMP rom out of it? like disabling the Radio [if possible] remove everything thats useless to a phone thats not activated?

Someone here started to do a PMP GB ROM, I think there just wasnt enough insterest in it for them to continue though or something like that.

I might start making a Froyo PMP ROM if there's enough demand (now that there are more goodbye Ally threads popping up). GB might be an option later on. For now, I have school stuff and the ACT to worry about.

A MIUI ROM is *possible* but very unlikely to ever happen. Because MIUI is built of of Android source, it runs into the same problems we have with cm6/7.

Rgocal has made a miui port for the ally and it boots But crashes if u touch anything, supposedly a mis written script, he needs a developer that can re-write it lol or Its a no go
