Hey all, i got this text from Verizon last night " You have 3 unheard Visual Voice Mail messages. Please select the Visual VM icon to reinstall. Free Message from Verizon Wireless."
I swear to you i have looked repeatedly and do not see an icon of any sort dedicated to voicemail! Any thoughts before i lose my mind?

I'm not sure what to try from this link. I'm actually having this problem on a Droid 4. The VMM app was preinstalled and is working, its just annoying to get a text message after every voicemail saying it needs reinstalled.

I have the same problem, and according to this thread, it's because Handcent or another 3rd-party SMS app is intercepting the text alerts used by VVM to know when a new voicemail is received.

Thanks, I should've cross posted back what I found out, I had posted just above that what I had found. My only problem now is to find a way to get a SMS widget with notifications, thats not handcent and doesn't interfere with VVM. Thanks.

I stumbled across this post when I had issues with getting a SMS from Verizon when using Handcent every time I got a Visual Voice Mail.

It turns out that if you have the most recent version of Handcent, you can blacklist the number used to sent the text, which stops the notification of the SMS and optionally will hide it. However, Visual Voice Mail will still have a notification and work normally.

Awesome, that's good to know, I'll give it a try. Thanks.
