Sorry for all of the questions but still getting a feel for Miui (which has much better performance over all on my phone than CM7 did!): Does anyone else have issues with the Kindle app being crazy slow and trying to force close a lot on this rom?

the one app I use just as much as phone and sms - the answer for me is no. There is a blip on the brightness (self-adjusts upward) on start up, but nothing like you're describing. make sure you update the app

Hmm, uninstalling kindle and will try again as I usually use this app a lot for work as well as just for reading.

Where I work I have to be on wifi all day due to no signal. When I leave and go back to data the phone seems to take forever to really get working again normally. Is there a fix for this? I seem to have to reboot sometimes to get back to normal usage.

anyone know how much ram miui uses compared to cm7,,and which one will use less batterry,,i had miui and cm7 but when i use miui i have more a more tendency to play with it and thus the batt doesnt last as long,miui has alot of themes and i just keep installing uninstalling,,but i over it finally,,and really cant tell which one i like best,,i guess cm7 is really great to use when you really need to bring up things reall quick,,,the startup gestures work great and start up into any appp you need,,on the other hand miui is very eye catching and has more of a animated look if you set it up that way,,i think i remember getting better battery performance on the miui...

I installed this rom after wiping every thing (system included), its giving me a black screen after the splash screen, the xiaomi logo isnt coming like it should, whats the problem here? last time i installed it, it booted right up.

The problem is that this rom is for the Motorola triumph which I am guessing you don't have?

I think this huge box thing which can make phone calls and let me go on the internet with a 4.1" screen and 5.0 mp camera with a virgin mobile logo on the back is a moto triumph? i could have been mistaken.

alright joking aside, i really want to go back to miui, i didnt know about the themes last time and they are AWESOME

Lol sorry, when I originally read your post I confused xiaomi with huawei and assumed you had a huawei phone. You wouldn't have been the first that had tried flashing this rom on a different phone.

Redownload and try just doing wipe data/factory reset without wiping system and then flash it.

I fixed it, i turned off boot animation in cm7 and apparently it keeps the setting when flashing a new rom, and it caused miui to give a black screen, thanks for the help tho!

The music sounds weird. Not enough treble? not sure but it sounds different. anybody else notice this?

Wait Never mind, I think it was cause i installed the DSPManger apk.

Is there a way to turn the music lockscreen off? It doesn't work well since I'm using Poweramp. It just controls the stock app, but it shows up when I use Poweramp.

EDIT: It worked on CM7 but now my pattern lock is gone, just turns right on now. Not sure that will work for you.

If you install the Volume+ mod for 1.11.25, it removes the lockscreen as well (pattern lock remains).

major issues after I downloaded and puttered with the new instagram app - MIUI camera won't work - multiple fc's, reboot, batt pull, uninstall stupid hipster app that I wouldn't have used more than twice - and still no joy. MAJOR PAIN IN MY A**. Anyone have this issue? Thx.

I installed instagram, and nothing messed up, hopefully you have a backup to go to. Hope everything's fine.

well I don't know what's up, but I did find other market users with MIUI/Triumph who had fc's - my prob was camera would not work at all. "Can't connect to camera" Tried to replace system app with blank copy MIUI camera from ROM, no joy. Backed everything up, re-flashed MIUI without wipe, still busted - the app will open, but will fc when I attempt to switch from front to rear camera or take a pic. Super lame, looks like I'm gonna have to wipe it down. I hate this motherflipping app lol

well...camera was fine after complete wipe and re-flash. However, after then using the MIUI backup I made, I am in constant boot loop. Sigh. If I get the job I just had an interview for, the Triumph is getting retired - must have newer MIUI lol.

can someone remind me how to turn off the hideous orange "you have a new notification" messages? thx

Does miuu normally have a high battery drain? I am losing almost 25% an hour! Downloading better battery and col spy to see what I find in the apps but wanted to see if anyone here had thoughts....

They just released an update on the play market not long ago to fix the FC issue ppl were having, maybe that would correct the issue your having with fc.

Thanks for that info. With the way it bombed my camera, though, I ain't going near it with a ten foot pole lol - I had installed whatever was on the market last night

Not sure what your talking about with the notification, but Austrie and I are making MIUI V4 for the triumph. Its almost daily drivable we just need to fix data
