I absolutely like the LTEVO!!

Why:
MicroSD, Camera Button, Kickstand, Super Thin, True Successor to EVO 4G, and KICKSTAND!!! (Plus all of the awesome spec's!!)

No doubt that my vote was "yes" - I have loved this device the moment it was announced. It seems that Sprint had listen to our cries and decide to give its customers what they truly need -- an awesome phone. I'm sure many people are happy with Sprint's announcement, as well as there are those who aren't so 'thrill' about not getting the exact duplicate of the HTC One X.

Nevertheless, this phone (when I get it) will definitely be a keeper for the next two years - unless there is a another EVO device (just as mind-blowing) that comes out before then.

I love it, especially the micro SD slot, camera button, HD voice, the kickstand and only for $200. Sprint hits a homerun with this phone.

I don't like it, I LOVE it.

Why you ask? IMHO, I think it's an true Evolution from the previous iterations of the Evo. HTC was able to bring back the kickstand from the 4G, incorporate a dedicated camera button not unlike the 3D, address the power issues with the 2000mAh battery and finally incorporating all of this into a cutting edge phone with the latest technology. I for one am really looking forward to seeing the real world usage on one of the first phones using 28nm process.

I love the internals and although I'm not crazy about the two tone back, I have come to the conclusion this is the EVO line and not the ONE X line of phones.

It looks great to me. I've read a lot of negative comments about how it looks, but I don't think it's ugly at all. A little different, but not ugly. Anyway, who looks at the back of their phone? And on top of everything else, they brought the kickstand back to the Evo line. Gotta love it!

I'm thinking the real reason why we have a two-tone glossy-matte back finish is because having two drastically different textures was a better design choice than having two close, but not the same matte finishes.

To explain: The LTEVO is made with an aluminum unibody, and the bottom matte part is a matte machine-finished aluminum metal. The top glossy part is plastic--as a requirement, because the 3G/LTE/BT/NFC antennas are all located there. I would bet money that it is nigh impossible to get a matte plastic finish that matches a matte metal finish--that they would be close, but be obviously slightly off matte finishes. Slightly off is frequently more bothersome to the eye than an obvious and stark contrast.

When given the choice to go slightly off (see the old HTC Sensation for example) two tones, or go to a noticable contrast two-tones, i.e., glossy vs. matte, it looks like they went with the latter.

The HTC One X avoids this altogether with an RF-friendly all polymer body.

If this had been the successor to the original EVO, I would have upgraded without hesitation. Since it wasn't, I opted for the MoPho (especially after the kickstand was confirmed) and ended up loving the phone as well as Motorola's accessories in comparison to all my past HTC devices (Mogul, Touch Pro, EVO 4G). Because of that, for the first time, I'm not planning on upgrading on a launch date until it's been determined and/or announced that Motorola will have another Android Superphone.

I don't really like the look. I really like whats inside the phone. It pretty much has what I need. I just hope Sprint doesn't take up most of the internal memory. With all that memory, and all this phone can do, I don't mind holding on to this phone for two years.

The more I watch the video of how the device was design and created, I think the top glossy cover and kickstand might be replaceable and a accessorize feature. In the video you can see the white top sitting on one of the tables not to mention the silver kickstand on one of the device. If this possible, it just might seal the deal for me.

No previous HTC/EVO phones here, just another satisfied MO PHO'ER.

Admittedly, the EVO 4G LTE specs are a bit better than the MO PHO, it's not enough for me to jump on the LTEVO EXPRESS.

Three things could change my mind,namely:

1) If the EVO 4G LTE were to have the accessories/docking options as the MOTO RAZR/PHOTON/BIONIC/ATRIX, I'll give this phone a second look.

2) Battery life proves to be acceptable(10-12 HRS of light-moderate use).

3) 4G LTE comes earlier than expected to my area,(more wishful thinking) as I'm in a 4G WIMAX area.Otherwise,no need to pick up any phone w/LTE in the immediate future.

the fact that you have WiMax is a good indicator you will get LTE sooner rather then later. they always start deployement in their biggest markets and work their way down... important cities got WiMax first and important cities will get LTE first...

Dallas was in wave one for WiMax and again is in wave one for LTE

I think someone had mentioned that HTC had an official answer about the rumored 3D version and said that it was just a prototype because they were initially thinking of keeping the 3D w/ the LTEvo, but decided not to. Quite honestly, if it was 3D, I wouldn't consider it.

This is what I have been holding out for. But the only way I'll buy it is if it gets root, which I'm sure it will. I have loved my evo for over a year now. Getting an evo with a dual core processor in it will be sick. Oh yeah and cm9. So a recapp, new evo, dual core processor, rooted with ics. Yeah son I'll be all over that one!

Accessories for the One X made me take a step back in the "like" department for this phone. I wish I could say it wasn't a "big deal" for me, but now that I've experienced Motorola's accessories...not sure I can go backwards in that department. And for those saying, "just use universal"...not the same thing either. Motorola just found a way to really focus on productivity and use, rather than making their accessories look "pretty."
