Editing "Share via..." list

When you choose the "share" icon on your screen to share a picture, file or whatever, you get the list of apps to share it with.
gmail
handcent
qr decode
qr code
facebook
g+
bla bla bla

My issue is I have too many apps I can do that with, so I need to be scrolling around to find Handcent.

Is there any way to edit which options I have for sharing through apps?

I have seen the other two threads for this, but they are short, old (2010), and both end with saying one needs root.

Well, I'm rooted, but I still don't know how to do it, if possible.
Any pointers for re-sorting or paring down the list?

Welcome to the forum both of you, nice to meet you.

Underneath the list you should see set as default. Tick next to that and then whatever you choose will automatically be chosen the next time.

I'm obviously having a, "Senior moment", Shotty, as I can't see that option!

Don't worry... its probably just me!

Hi

Thanks for the reply, but that is not what we (well, at least I) want. I am looking to be able to REMOVE some of the entries there without uninstalling the apps, or at least be able to sort them so the ones I actually use are on top.

Thanks!

Honestly I can't see a way of doing that with the stock camera. But probably best not to take my word for it as I'm usually wrong. It might be worth giving a few 3rd party camera apps a try to see if they have the option.
