Root wifi tether issue

Hi all. Just got the LG Esteem over the weekend. Metro PCS was the only wireless provider that gave me 4g at work. Anyway, I rooted it to use it as a tether for my Galaxy Tab 10.1. Got to work this morning and my tablet can't tether. I've tried the wireless tether, barnacle and open garden apps and none will work. I tried to change the device to LG Optimus S but it doesn't show on barnacle. Only Hero, Samsung, Eris, None. It worked perfectly fine with my old evo. What am I missing here? Thanks

I use wireless tether, set it to access control enabled, and when you sync up to the tab you have to check the ip on the access control authorized clients

i did allow access control. but it doesn't show any authorized clients on that page. and my tablet is scanning for a signal. the app is running too.

must be something with the tablet, I haven't had any issues. don'tknow what else to tell you sorry.

i downloaded the pdanet app. while trying to use the wifi function it says that this option isn't available and i should try bluetooth. the bluetooth function works. I have metro pcs. did lg take that option out of their phones?

Search for use phone for wireless tether on this page. They have the download from wifi tether.google it is the only one that works for our model

It won't void your warranty unless they they know you rooted your phone and only way they will know is if you take your phone in to one of the stores so if you plan on take it in shouldn't have a problem and if you do need to take it in just unrooted

I'm having a problem similar to the original. I try to tether with the wifi tether app but it's not shown as a network on any other device, and on the app the download and upload speeds are always at 0. I installed the wifi app apk but still nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

I figured it would work out, I gave it permission but still it won't show up on other devices or show any speeds.

I was trying to connect to another phone to test, and then a laptop, but yeah, they didn't show my phone as a network.

I can not use wifi tether 4g nor any solution to the problem only if you work iphone without any problems anyone has untutorial for the problem that we are putting MetroPCS

because the solution they put in another post because anyone expect positive results in this area can help us by experts

Iphone doesn't get data connection and to tether with MetroPCS you need to spoof a mobile user agent cause MetroPCS has put a block some how on devices to connect with there phone devices

If using a PC you need to download an add-on called a user agent. Then switch that to Mac like I did. That's what got my tether to work on ALL websites and their not in mobile. Hope this helps. Oh & shout out to metro. I have not figured it out! You guys won this time lol Ha!

Google Chrome ftw it use to be Mozilla Firefox but they are gay now. If only google came out with a PC OS !! Windows is gettin shitty jus sayin & **** Mac nerds! Lol I ain't got $2,500 laying around for a laptop. Bought my Emachine for $300 delivered three years ago. Still works like a champ!!
