99% sure it cannot be done. Sprint and Verizon keep their phone ESN's in a database, if the ESN does not show up in the database, the phone cannot be activated on that network.
Technically, it's doable. However because of Sprint & Verizon policies on not using out-of-network devices you won't be able to do so. It's stupid, in my opinion, but it's their rules.
Ok because my gf is talking about getting herself a phone, she's going with an android, but she is on T-mobile so she can choose from At&ts devices as well if she wants, but I'm wondering is it possible and has anyone done that for Verizon to Sprint and vice versa seeing as other than WiMax the radios are compliant with each others networks???
If this is possible, then how does one go about doing this? Anybody know anyone reliable that does this??
I'm just looking at the possibility of getting a VZW LTE enabled phone possibly and bringing it onto my Sprint account seeing as I'm going to probably go ahead and bite the bullet on buying a phone off contract anyways...
Pretty sure Sprint and VZW will not allow one of the other carriers electronic serial numbers (ESN) onto their network. Also, Sprint and Verizon user different frequencies for their 4G LTE, so you wont be able to get LTE with another carriers phone on either network.
oh ok, I thought LTE was one of those things where as long as the radio matched it was good to go...
Ya it kinda stinks that they wouldn't allow you to use each others ESNs...is there anyway for Tmobile to tell she's concerned they can, she was thinking of getting the Note she's quite happy with just 3G speeds, unlike me she's not a data hog and just wants a nicer phone than her Blackberry Bold
