Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Wow, did not sleep at all last night, well, perhaps 30 minutes because I am so used to going to bed at 2am and getting up at like 10 or 11 for work, but I needed to be in at 6am this morning. So I have been up for nearly 24 hours (again). So I get up this morning, take a shower, get some coffee in me and head into work.

I see my manager there and he's like, hey, Allan, what are you doing here? I tell him I was suppose to be in at 6. he said he came in at 4am that I should have called him. Like I knew he was there. He said I could come back at like 10 or something and I told him I had not slept and if I was going to go home, I was not coming back. So, after a bit of talking, I ended up getting an extra day off, today, and will try to make it up this weekend instead of those stupid 4 hour shifts.

Yeah! A spare day off! too bad I am so blasted tired and need a nap. The Irony.

Hey all, so back at work, feeling better, except it hurts to breath, apparently from the abdominal and chest muscles I strained from my uhh... sickness. Still no appetite though.

So here is an interesting little tidbit I noticed today. When I unplug my phone, and allow the screen to turn off, if I wait a few minutes to turn back on, it reports that it is connected to 4G. But it immediately loses signal and cycles back to 3G once I turn the screen back on... Any comments?

If you have LTE enabled it may be doing a scan for it before settling in on CDMA.

Put your device to show Settings/About phone/Status and note what "Mobil network type" is displayed. Look at the signal strength too.
Then let it time out and when you wake it see what it shows says then. Seeif it shows LTE at 1st and pops back to eHRPD:13

Ouch. The only thing worse than getting up with no sleep, is getting up with no sleep when you didn't need to do it.

a hipster down the stairs?

Hey! I'm still bummed that Travel and Leisure didn't include DC in the top 25 cities for hipsters. I mean, KC, MO made it

I know most read Droid-Life, but did anyone catch the benchmark comparison between the One X and the Nexus? One X smoked us. Really is a beautiful device.
Benchmarks: HTC One X vs. Galaxy Nexus – Droid Life
I may run a few tests on my Prime to see how it compares since they have similar specs.

Good morning all.

Thinking about going to AOKP B31 tonight to try something new out.

Chief - I hope its the cable or maybe its that outlet or maybe its the brick that plugs into the wall - lots of elements to go bad there. Good luck!

Going to grab some breakfast, which is always a bit more difficult during passover.

Chief, Stigy is right, could also be the brick that plugs into the wall. Does she charge by any other means? (car charger, computer etc).
