Galaxy Note Photo Thread

Thought I would create a thread where we could share some of our great shots, and pass on any photography advice using the Note. :D

Share your best shots in this thread! :)

Here are a few of mine shot with the N7000 and i717:

Thanks for sharing. All great shots. Couple of questions. On the indoor shots did you use a flash and what settings did you have the camera set to for both indoor and out door shots?

Outdoor shots were done with Capture Pro camera set to auto white balance and -1 exposure. This camera has no ISO settings

The indoor were shot with stock camera at either 100 or 200 ISO (never use auto ISO), no flash. Both close shots were in macro focus mode. I believe they flower shot was using daylight white balance.

Thanks for the tips, don't know enough about photography to know what settings to use, appreciate any other tips you might have.

Ya the trick is never use auto ISO. The stock camera produces considerable noise with it on. Most I use is 200.

If you ever want to remove noise I highly recommend Imagenomic Noise reduction for Photoshop. Amazing plug in.

Awesome advice. I will try tinkering with the iso settings tonight. Is the Imagenomic Noice reduction for photo shop in the app store?

No it is a windows CS5 plugin. I use photoshop for my really good photos that I want print. I have a bunch of photos framed that people think were taken with an SLR. Hehe.

If you keep ISO at 100, and you're shooting in a not well let place, the camera will want to slow down the shutter speed to compensate. So be sure you hold the camera very steady and don't shoot anything moving.

I wish there was a way to see what shutter speed the camera is using before you take a pic. Then you'd know when you really need to increase the ISO.

My Note randomly deletes or crashes photos I've taken. It shows up in the gallery but when I open it I get a square grey box with a lightning bolt through it.

I've about had it with this phone. It's done it to a several pics and a video. Hell the built in storage crashed and deleted everything I had saved on the phone. Pics, vids music etc.

Not to mention all the other issues I've had with my original purchase one and now this replacement one.

for those without CS, Standalone Community Version is free.. no strings or nags.. just pure awesomeness for free. Used it for years (standalone), even though I use Photoshop too.

Imagenomic - Imagination at Shutter Speed

I *needed* it for all pics before I got the i777 and now the i717. I was ashamed to post a pic from my Inspire without a trip through Noiseware.
