Root Completely removing evidence of Root?

My friend has a Bionic and panicked when he got stuck at the Flash Failure recovery screen so he went to the store and they sent him a new phone. He just needs to send his old one back, and as long as there is no evidence of root/voiding warranty, he can just keep the new phone

Only thing i could tell him was to wipe everything, all the cache's and then a factory restore. I also told him to take his SD card out (most likely has Roms on it). Is there anything else he needs to remove so Verizon doesn't stick him with the price of a new phone?

Thanks in advance guys, i'll continue searching online
