[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Well folks I don't know what to do. After seeing that my phone wouldn't charge anymore, it would actually decrease its charge while flashing the charging indicator, I decided to wipe again. That makes a total of 3 wipes on this Build not including my wipe in between 30 and 31. So far the kernel governor seems to be sticking, but my phone is still dying while plugged in. I have no idea what to do. Completely clean AOKP B31.

I've never heard of this. What exactly is happening? Like you'll be in maps using it and all the sudden it force closes?

Have you restored anything via Titanium?

I get the error periodic and when I launch maps? I get a popup and it says "Unfortunately, Maps has stopped" and I click OK?? I am gonna try to uninstall and install and see if that helps Ty

I'm having major battery issues and had similar experience.

My e-mail and Maps were going crazy. I deleted my e-mails and will try turning off Latitude on maps. I'm just trying to hold out till M5.

Hey guys. This ROM seems to be one of the popular ones but I'm having some issues right off the bat.

I downloaded build 31 and gapps then loaded them through clockwork recovery. Everything is fine and normal (oh did a full wipe and nandroid). When the phone starts from scratch and activates it says activation completed yet I have roaming above my signal. These akop Roms all have that problem. When I try to use *228 to activate the dialer is missing.

I really want to experience the good happy times you all are having with this Rom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You downloaded the one for toro (as long as you're on Verizon) correct? At least two of us had major issues trying to load maguro.
If you did indeed pick the right one then maybe you need to download again. Then boot into recovery and wipe system, dalvik and cache. Then flash 31 and gapps. I've not seen reports of what you're experiencing.

Just want to verify what phone you have....plus if you have a nexus then you want to make sure that the * number you call is appropriate for your phone. 4g phones on verizon use a contact with *22899....
Good luck and try BBs suggestion if nothing has worked yet.

Try a different battery. I had one go bad and Verizon made good.

I do have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus and had downloaded the following file names

aokp_toro_milestone-4
gapps-ics-20120304-signed

those and the B31 both could not activate my phone and left it in roaming.

Will calling *22899 bring up the dialpad? the voice prompt tells me to activate it by pressing "1" and I see no dialpad. that makes me muy triste :(

From what I have read you do not want to dial that number. For what ever intent and purpose it will not fix your phone.

From what I have been following here, I think perhaps you need a full factory reset back to stock, unrooted, get any OTA updates available and then come again.

You may even have an app in the works making trouble for you.

B31 is plain and simple running like a dream for me. I navigate, tether, download large files, try all kinds of kernels, stream video, scream over 4G, the device is pure butter smooth and fast.

Good Luck

Do not dial *228 on a VZW phone that has a sim card installed. Your Nexus has this sim card. Updating pRL is done internally and automatically. I've heard of "forcing" it to update by taking the sim card out, then putting back in, but idk about that one.

Your phone should activate upon it booting up after the ROM flash.

Did you check the Md5 to make sure your dnld's did not corrupt?

Be sure you are flashing them consecutively, meaning flash the ROM then immediately flash gapps then reboot.

Are you using ROM Manager to do all of this or are you maually entering clockworkmod and flashing there? Are you doing a full wipe (aka factory reset/data wipe, wipe dalvik cache and cache partition) BEFORE you try to flash the 2 files?

Give us as much info as possible and I bet we can help!

Thanks but
the link on that page is dead..that's why I was askin

I don't know then, other than going to the aokp devices thread located here. Is the droid4 officially supported?

Your best bet would be to ask people in that xda thread I linked earlier as they have the same device you do.

Good luck hope you get sorted out!
