ICS browser problems or Samsung's?

Cant seem to find an answer to this online, so I thought I would ask here. One of the reasons I chose the Razr Maxx over the Galaxy Nexus a few days ago was browser performance. When in the browser on the GN, if you pinch to zoom in on a website with a lot of text, there is a stutter for a good 2-3 seconds. The screen goes blank as it reformats the text to fit it to the screen. It also does this as you pinch to zoom back out. This really bothered me. I would rather have no lag and just move my finger around where I want to read. So my question would be is this just something the GN does or is this a feature in ICS? I really hope its not something built in to ICS.

Well, honestly the default browser is sucky. LOL. Just use another browser, most recommended is Dolphin, Boat and Xscope.

Honestly I don't think Google worked too hard on the browser in ICS because at the moment, Chrome for Android beta is available in the Play Store.

Thats what I was asking. Is it the browser or is that a function of ICS?

The ICS browser actually got a lot of attention for Android 4.0. It's one of the few truly multithreaded apps that scales to 4 cores. You can disable text reflow in the browser settings, but I found it to be detrimental for usability, even though the rendering was more seemless. So, to answer to your question, it's not inherent to ICS, it's simply the way the stock browser behaves by default.

I believe that it a standard feature of ICS, because it is the same thing on my Sensation. When my Sensation was on GB, the browser did not have this redrawing process, so personally I like it better that way. Apart from that problem, the browser on ICS is noticeably faster.
