Awesome Widget : Multicon

I just found this widget that's REALLY cool. I no longer have a scrolling desktop because I'm able to fit all my desktop icons onto 1 page! Actually, half a page because I'm using a 2x4 Beautiful Widget.

It's called Multicon and it's FREE! Basically it's a widget that lets you fit shortcuts into a widget so you can fit more icons in that space. You can fit up to 36 icons onto a 1x1 area! I wouldn't recommend that, but I do recommend this widget if you want to save some space or want to organize your home screen.

I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with this 1 page home screen, but so far it's working and I'm liking it. I might make the widget smaller to create some space because it does look sorta cluttered. Everything I can't fit on that page (that I don't use often anyways), I can just access from my drawer. It's a lot easier/faster than flipping through your home screens to get to what you want.

fyi, I'm rooted, using mt's Broken Out 1.1, hdmi fix, un-centered clock, some icon changes I made, and ldrifta's themed LauncherPro.

Surprisingly, not that often. Thanks to our 4.3" screen, I think only once so far. You can set it so that it's only 2 icons in a 1x1 spot. Here's another screen shot so that you can show better how you can customize it (I put Quell Reflect on there to show how it compares to a regular icon):

You should try SS flicker. Much better than multicon...

You know what, when I opened the app, I hated it. It's a home replacement! It's not even really a widget! Also, it's so different from any other home replacement!

HOWEVER......

I'm playing with it and setting it up and I'm seeing the merits of this app. If you set it as default, double tap home, it goes to your other home screen which is pretty nice. This is GREAT for multi tasking since the home button has 3 controls now: single click, double click, and long press. It allows you to open new apps from another app instead of having to go to your home screen to launch the other app. The more I play with it, the more it makes sense to me. Thanks for this great suggestion.

It took me a while to get use to it also. So many ways to customize it to your likings....

Yea, I've spent the last 1-2 hours reorganizing everything. It's quite the awesome app. Completely unique but so practical. Totally changes how I use my Android for the better. It's defintiely going to take a bit of time to get used to, but it's

I'm gonna write to him with a few minor suggestions that I would love added to this app like: a shortcut to open the app drawer and some more original icons.

Thanks again for suggesting this app to me.
