Root Metamorph Themes and 2.1 ROMS

I installed the smoked glass theme V2.0 from alldroid.net. Everything seems fines except for the notification bar and my clock is missing....anyone else having these problems? I have tried searching around for the answer for about 30 mins now and cant find anything, any help would be appreciated.

Is the clock missing, or it it using a black font on a black notification bar? Also, some of the themes do remove the clock from the notification bar. You always have to pay close attention to the specifics of each theme.

there is still a space there for the clock, maybe it is using black font.....but the images show a white clock on the theme, guess I will have to dig deeper

I am having the same problem. It is a black clock on a black background. I don't think the smoked glass theme is fully developed for 2.1 yet.

There are several methods to change the clock color to white, but they are actually pretty involved. It is not that big of deal to me and I figure I will just wait for the themes to catch up to 2.1 a little more.

If the theme isn't designed for 2.1 ERE/ESE ROMs then everything will not work exactly right when you install it. I don't think the framework.res packages are the same.

I found some themes that say they are built for 2.1, I will just wait until the themese catch up also I just thought I may have been doing something wrong, thanks for the help guys.

btw - your link goes to a different URL than what is in the text. The text is correct, but the URL goes to simply stunning ROM. Not sure if the board formatted that or you did.

EDIT - Very nice theme and takes care of 1 or 2 little problems I had with the other theme.

It is not a metamorph theme, so you just need to get the install.zip, place it on the root of your sdcard and install it at boot time using the Power and X key, etc. etc.

Right at the bottom of the post for the theme on alldroid it says

**Note**
This WILL work for both 2.0.1 and 2.1...
It is recommended that you have a White Clock in your status bar...

As for changing the clock color you can try this out.. [Clock Color] Change your clock's color using Metamorph!!!! im not sure if it works in 2.1 as i've never tried it and it doesn't say anything in the thread about it. I'm running Pete's modified version of smoked glass for his BB 0.7 rom found here http://alldroid.org/roms/motorola/droid/pete/ESE53/Update/glassthemeese53update.zip that already included a white clock.

The link I posted previously (I hope it is correct now) is for a theme that loads as an update.zip file. Install using system recovery - install - allow update.zip installation - Install. It will take care of changing the clock color and apply the entire theme.

i used smoked glass everywhere on my beast 2.1 rom except for the bar i used [THEME] Desire theme

the status bar only option..looks good and havnt had a problem
