There is a development apk in this rom. It has a function to test the touchscreen. I used it and it looks to me like the TS bug is gone but I need someone to verify this.

I'm testing now on my cracked case TU and the touchscreen is very responsive now. I'll keep testing though. Awesome work by the way!!!

As soon as i flashed over it did great.
but on startup i still had it plugged in to usb f.y.i and got force close of some application under koushikdutta.rommanager
*also on standby the screen does not turn off for me all the way still just a lit blank screen and then power button will not turn phone back on and bat pull is necessary. SOD
*Screen fix is noticeable, i recently came up with a quick fix is this relevant to the changes in CM7?
*Screen is green during Orientation not a complaint just an observation.

*9 is 0 0 is P Qwerty is off using FN turns it letters to Shift, Shift does nothing nor does Del

Setting up Account Setup could not finish Unable to open connection to server.

Dockbar randomly deleted on me at one point

I've had 5 fresh and clean boots

Orientation gets stuck at some point and doesn't want to switch back from landscape to Portrait,

*No Camera
*Clean switches to different themes

***CWM Restore is clean and works smooth

I would have a backup on your computer, and follow badsectors instructions to the T. Also i suggest you return back to stock first, since you're already having trouble. This is also not for daily use and is not to be interpreted as such. Be careful with what you do. But as long as your safe nothing should go wrong. Also though you never know because every phone is different lol.

Touchscreen bug:

  1. There is a development apk in this rom. It has a function to test the touchscreen. I used it and it looks to me like the TS bug is gone but I need someone to verify this.
  2. I have tested this by picking up an icon and moving it around in CM7 very quickly and it does not drop like is does in stock Gingerbread.
  3. CM7 uses the same touchscreen driver that stock Gingerbread does so this proves that something added to Gingerbread is messing with the touchscreen driver input.
Screen of Death:

  1. Have verified that there is a SOD issue. Thanks scerini.
  2. Keeping your usb cable plugged in is temporary fix for this bug while you debug CM7
I had fixed the screen of death with one of the original drivers, I remember it having to do with one of the UI ones...Sorry I can't be more help.

Issues found.

1: Battery drain (Fixed ended unresponsive program)
2: unable to come out of standby
3:bluetooth unresponsive
4: Camera FC
5: Phone works, but dialer FC'S whenever it feels like it.
6: I made a call and when I went to hit end the phone went into standby, but came out of it when I hit power button, but as soon as my finger gets close to the screen it goes back into standby.

I must say for an Alpha it really is pretty stable.

Not working

■3g/2g
■lock phone so that screen is completely off
■Dev tools app force close when you elect google login service
■Under settings in wireless and networks when you select network preference CDMA /EVDO is not listed
■ Rom manager force close
■ Wifi
■Camera
■Orientation
■Bluetooth
■Brightness
■Screenshot
■audio

the screen doesnt actually turns off it just goes to a gray/black screen and you might think its turned off but its not, Dev tools app force close when you select google login service. Obviously theres not service but it could have something to do with /efs folders missing, it contains your IMEI number and more important service related things i have no idea wether this is the problem but this could *possibly* solved the no service error. Another thing i have com to realize is that in settings wireless and networks when you select mobile networks and choose network preference CDMA /EVDO is not listed only GSM/WCDA. The Error on wifi could be a problem with the certain permissions you choosed for the script or something isnt right in the system, i can't remember where but when mavrickeercat davegrow and i first tested the OC kernel for BobZhome to make sure everything was working properly before he released it wifi was a issue that we found and i forgot how dave did it but he fixed it by moving some system file to the correct place i believe it was something with the drivers.

Its all good interdpth we'll eventually get them all working in a matter of weeks/months starting with the biggest ones like audio and service to the smallest ones like screenshot and orientation. Thanks for doing all thoses work and uploading your work for cm7 at the earlier start of the year. Good to see you again you should stop by more often.

pretty much the same findings as above (boost user)

-Superuser app force close
-Rom manager force close (Do we need it? i thought it could potentially brick unsupported phones)
-No 3g or WIFI
-Camera no go
-Orientation (works but seems to get stuck in landscape)
-Lock Screen (If phone falls asleep you have to yank battery)
-Boot animation didnt work on 1st boot (second and third boot got a android sign boot ani)
-Screen brightnes(wont adjust in settings or by status bar
-Sound (overall sound..Screen selections,ringtones,notifacations,speaker)
-Voice dialer and sound recorder (something to do with the sound not working?)
-Keyboard (works but i couldnt get it to open in terminal, used qwerty)

Overall it was awsome..very stable and mostly everything works fine except for the few listed above.most importantly the 3g and wifi...works very well..thank you for your hardwork Bads3ctor and Penguinrepair

That ^^^^ is what I used as a basis for my TU device config. Thanks Interdpth.
Thanks everyone with finding what works and what does not. It helps.

I would ask that everyone add to their posts the version TU they did the test on: Sprint or Boost. We have to make different versions of CM7 for each phone.

The CM7 I released is a generic version with nothing much in build.prop. I figured it would boot on both versions of the TU. Now the fun part begins....making this into a usable version of CM7. It is not easy to do in our spare time and will take months to complete.

The zip I released should be easy for rom makers to hack in config files and driver files to fix many things like phone calls or wifi. If any TU rom makers want to work on this, we would gladly accept their help.
