Received my HTC One X Car upgrade kit CAR D110 today and was fairly pleased with it, it is expensive in my opinion, but i wanted this kit as it utilizes the car dock mode.
It seems quite well made and comes with a disc with a sticky back to it to stick on the dashboard, the mount itself, charger lead and mini usb charger.
It sticks to the window no problem, and has a good grip, however the disc to stick to the dashboard isn't sticky at all, definately won't stick to the dashboard so i'll have to think of something else, any suggestions?
One thing i really was pleased with was that when not in car mode the home screens all rotated to landscape with the launch bar at the side of the screen, i have attached some screen shots.
Not sure why but in landscape the calender widget doesn't seem to display properly, no dates or events shown, have screenshot of this also.

One other thing though, i had ordered through HTC accessory store which is run by Expansys for HTC, and to be honest, the service was terrible, paid for next working day delivery but it took them two days, then had all the hassle of getting redelivered annoying!

a-ha, quick tutorial on photoshop!

I too got mine from Expansys and also paid for next day, when it didn't come as thought i tracked it on there site.
Then i found out it came from France, (im in UK), and came in 2 days so was well chuffed it came that quick.
The disc pad works spot on, you do have to have the cleanest dash in the world though for them to stick, so i was cleaning it for a while ;).
I love the mount, fits snug, and the auto car dock works a treat with the fat finger buttons.

Yes mine was from France also, just wanted it delivered when someone was home.

Glad your fitting went ok, my dash is slightly curved and is also has a kind of grained effect so not sure how I'm going to stick it on.
If I fit it to windscreen it's a bit of a stretch to reach it

And does the dock come away from the base to enable fitment to a brodit mount.

That's the bit I'm interested in. I've just pre-ordered the Brodit mount from Mobilefun and all ready have the car attachment from my last handset. Plus my car doesn't really have sufficient window/dash space.

However, I'm guessing that Brodit will have a stock USB on that won't trigger Car Mode. OK, you can launch it manually, but...

So yes, can the mount be removed from the suction part to allow it to be screwed to something else?

Can you take a pic of the dock itself, have seen at least two different pics online of it so confused to what it looks like.

Also, is the USB permanent, or do you need to plug it into the phone every time you dock?

And does the dock come away from the base to enable fitment to a brodit mount.

Cheers.

The mini USB cable does detatch from the dock but the connector comes out so you'd have to put your phone in car mode manually, but I don't think the dock would be easy to disassemble.
I'll post a pick wen I get home :)

I think mine will come today, was out yesterday so had a mis, delivery card waiting for me when I got home.

Got the slip pouch too, although think I regret that now, it will mute the ringtone somewhat.

Knowing me ill probably ditch the HTC mount once brodit release an active holder that has bare ends on it to connect direct to 12v, I have one now for my bold 9900 and it's a good product

Brodit Active Holder with Tilt Swivel - HTC One X

Keep an eye on that page - no release date yet. I had an email from Brodit on the 11th April saying they were working on it and would start delivery in a couple of weeks.

Hi everyone,

I just bumped into this post and noticed that you all have your car mounts but everywhere I look (Amazon, Expansys etc...) they all say their out of stock and are expected on the 11th of May which has kinda kept me from ordering one. Did you all order it from the Expansys store and did it really take around three days to arrive?

Thanks

Mine was from Expansys, i think they must have had limited stock, delivery was from France to UK so i think that was why delivery was held up.

crookloq, thanks for your infos :)

I have a question about the car kit.

Is the One X properly charged in the car kit with the kit's charger while running a navigation?

The reason for my question is, I heard that the standard HTC car charger C200 isn't able to charge the One X properly while running the Navigon navigation app.
