Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Agreed. I don't even heat it up. I just eat it right out of the can. Most look at me and think I'm crazy.

So with you on that. I open a can of ravioli and the only thing I need is a fork.

Do we have any "mature" Gals here? I thought they were all young, sexy coeds who are way too young to remember Bandstand. :D
Define "mature". Chronologically, I suppose I would qualify for that. However, I refuse to act my age, particularly since NOT acting my age has the happy side effect of making me not FEEL like my age. :D

hey all. Been a bit, eh?
Nothing really going on lately but I thought I would stop in and say, Hi!

Oh, first lawn mow of the year. Front yard. Find all kinds of stuff in it, but the oddest (grossest) was a rubber. At least some one thought my lawn looked good, I guess.

Hiya semi stranger!
Ewwww - that's ooky!

Morning everyone. All of the sudden tapatalk has decided to notify me of every response to this thread now. Can't decide if I like that or not.

I am kind of excited, one week until my tablet is scheduled to get ICS.

Morning Anti,:playingball:

Check under settings | sync & notification | notification | subscribed topic and see if AF is checked.

And enjoy ICS on your tablet.

Yuck! I'm on my 3rd or 4th mow of the season already. I've got dang near golf course quality turf in my front lawn. Hard work has finally paid off.:D

Good morning everyone! Its my Friday at work so I'm happy today.
I just heard on Good Morning America about a pilot who aborted landing 400 feet from the runway because his landing gear wasn't down.....why wasn't the gear down you ask? Because he was texting. Captain Ron - since you're our resident pilot I have to ask - just how absorbed in the texting do you have to be to 'forget' landing gear??

So, let me get this straight, the pilot failed to put the landing gear down because he forgot, didn't realize it till 400 feet from the runway, and all this from doing something that they tell passengers not to do on a plane?

Wow

Had to Google it, link here:

Still am puzzled that the OG 10.1 hasn't been upgraded, but hey, that's Samsung.
I upgraded my Prime the second I turned it on! Trust me, ICS is SOOO much better on tabs than HC. My 10.1 lagged like crazy, but the Prime is buttery smooth. Also keep in mind you can then load up Nova Launcher :D

Yeah, I wasn't going to bring up the fact that we are supposed to turn all electronics off. I'm guessing its similar to a hospital where they say to do the same with phones. I'm sure there are some machines that could be effected but unless I'm in the ICU with some one then my phone is no different than a doctor's phone. I had one very mad once because he said I had to turn mine off, then his rang and I said "I will when you do ". I'd love to know why it has to be done on the plane though.

Kind of interesting that GMA was reporting on a story from almost 2 years ago
I'm a Today Show guy though :p

I think because there was news from the investigation. I had turned it on for weather and caught that. Then they started talking about Mariah Carey and I had to turn it off. Something about that woman annoys the poop out of me.

It's mainly done as a precaution, but there is merit behind it. If I enter an area of a hospital that says to turn cell phones off, I turn mine on airplane mode. Same for planes. Most equipment now is not very succeptable to electromagnetic/radio frequency interference, but some older equipment is. If you get one cell phone near it, may not affect it much, two you might see some effects, 3...etc it gets worse.

Usually hospitals only have that sign up around areas with sensitive life-sustaining or monitoring equipment. (ICU and surgery rooms)

Yep, looks like the investigation released their findings. I have the same sentiments regarding Ms. Carey.

I do turn it to airplane mode in those areas as well. But don't tell me to when I'm in the hallway by the elevators...... in the lobby/gift shop area.

Yeah, hospitals that put them up in that area don't know what they are doing. Rooms that contain sensitive equipment should be sheilded well enough to where you can walk by them and not interfere. I understand most ICUs are more open so that whole section needs to be a no cell phone zone, but other areas should never have to be with the exception of individual rooms.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday eve! :ciao:

Programming in Titanium for iOS (in javascript) is pretty fun. Got some learning to do about the Titanium API, but so far so good with the development of the app. Definitely need to talk to my brother (iOS person) about functionality of iOS apps and where to find settings and how they expect an app to behave. Making some nice progress though.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I got an A in my masters course. 40% of the way done.

Conrgrats - that's a big accomplishment! I am 50% of the way done, just waiting for when work offers to pay to finish mine to go back to school. Not looking to pile on any more loans.
