Root JIT by default in ESE53 ROMs?

I saw a post recently, can't remember where any more, that said that ERE53 ROMs come by default w/the necessary versions of the files, and all that you needed to do was add the dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit line to build.prop and you had JIT enabled.

Is anyone sure whether this is correct or not?

I'm running Simply Stunning v2.02 ERE53.

I cannot confirm one way or the other if the files are there or not, but I took the lazy method of testing and just added the line to build.prop and tested. It made no difference, so my guess would be no.

If you'd be willing to save me the trouble of hunting for instructions and post up what the files are and where they are located, I would be more than happy to take a peak and see if I have them or not.

Here is a fast way to enable JIT and install the needed files.
Rename the file to update.zip
Install in recovery (place update file in the root of your SD card).

http://alldroid.org/roms/motorola/dr.../jitupdate.zip

At this point my Simply Stunning ESE53 based rom is running so fast and smooth for now I am not going to rock the boat and bother just to see slightly faster benchmarks.

The topic wasn't how to install... only whether or not the needed files were already there. I am running an ERE53 ROM and it would be fairly simple for me to look via Root Explorer to see if the files were there. I just don't feel like looking through tons of threads on various forums to see what the file names are or where they need to be placed, so I was offering to look for him if he could provide that information.

But thanks for the heads up anyway.

No problem. The reason I offered it is it takes the guesswork out of the equation. You are right, as I feel sometimes we get bombarded with too much info. I see what people new to this go through just trying to find their way around. Info glut...
