Hi everyone!

I have a small problem with my Galaxy S2 (I9100-europe).
The problem is that when I try and press on certain parts of the screen, it doesnt work o.0 BUT if I move my finger really quickly it will complet the test hmm (pict bellow).

Someone told me something like "you need to use a diferent charger", but I dont think thats the problem... what do you think?

I also updated the phone to ICS (official) and still the same thing.

Here are some tests:

Thanks!

Is it an issue only when the phone is on charge/connected via USB??

The S2 touch screen touch sensitivity sometimes goes bonkers when it is receiving an improper voltage current from the charger/cable. Even on USB cable sometimes the bad voltage afftecs the charge since the PC itself is on the improper voltage.

When I was facing this issue I had tested this for a fact. When my laptop was on charge screen problems on the S2 and when it was on battery there was no issue.

That's why on so many threads people recommend new chargers.

p.s. I am making all conjectures because I am unable to view the screenshots you have attached, can you upload those as an attachment to a post.

From the second screenshot is very apparent that you are not on charging, so it shouldn't be the voltage issue.

What you are seeing in the first screenshot is actually normal. It's happend to us also, in the touch test sometimes a box or two is skipped when swiping fast. But it isn't an issue with the touch sensitivity.

Also in the 2nd screenshot, the "teleport" that you are talking about when swiping fast is nothing more than harmless smooth animations, and the prefixed animation speed.

Relax, as far as i can make out, you handset is fine :)

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I forgot to say this:
When I want to download a App and I want to press on "accept and download" I cant... because the button is on that zone... there for I cant. I need always to "turn" the phone and use a diferent zone of the screen. :(
So... yeh... its not THAT fine :p there is a problem o.o

You mean to say that a section of your screen is completely non-responsive to touch

This looks like a hardware issue.

Try any of the third party multitouch checking apps from the Play store (not to check for multi touch but to check that region's response)

I can only recommend going to a service center. :(
