Root Manually enter contacts?

Hey, everybody.

I was wondering if anyone knew any way to enter contacts manually, as in, through CWM or something like that. Is there a way to access the phone's internal storage, find the folder that your contacts are stored in, and enter them in manually, with your computer? I have no interest in syncing my gmail or FB contacts with my phone, as I have many people on those of whose numbers I have no need. It would be a lot easier for me to just type them directly into the contact interface, if I could somehow access it.

I don't want to pay to have them moved from my old phone (LG EnV2) to my new one, and since I was with Verizon I don't have a sim card. I read that you can download the Contact Manager thing from Verizon, and that they'll reimburse you if you don't pay for data, but I'm activating my new phone on Page Plus, so that wouldn't do me any good. This is my first smartphone, so sorry if I sound uninformed.

TL;DR: Is there a way/are there any programs or apps that will allow me to use my computer to type in contacts to my Inc?

Thoughts & suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

your best bet honestly is to sinc then with google, tho that may be difficult if the verizon phone is not working currently.

if you have run backup assistant in the past, all youd need to do is find some directions to put the backup assistant contacts into a file that you can import into gmail. (something like this. there may be better write ups)

once you do that, you can edit them on your computer(i.e. delete the ones you dont want) then sign into google on the inc,and they will download.

your only other option,in getting phone numbers from the env2,that i know of,is possibly to use a program called "bitpim" it has the ability to interact with the phone itself, and may be able to pull contacts off of the non-activated env2. when you plug the phone into the PC,all you get is the sd card contents, not anything from the phones internals, where contacts are stored.

sorry i couldnt be of more help,if you want to explore the bitpim option, maybe do some google searching and find yourself a good Lg / enV forum and search/ask there :)

But if I sync my phone with my gmail, won't that automatically import all of the people I have as contacts in gmail?
