Is this browser for both 1.5 and 2.1? I haven't updated yet and just wanted to check.
Ste
I'm loving it too. Seems great so far.
I have not figured out how to set it as the default yet, though. I read somewhere that I need to uncheck an option on Browser in Manage Applications, but I don't see Browser in there.
I never thought about that, but I know if I click on a link from Twitter, Facebook, or some other app with a link in it, it'll ask.
Otherwise, try going to Applications, scroll down to the default Browser, and select "Clear Defaults" on it.
I'm not sure if that will work, but it works when trying to switch the default from Sense to Home. I'm sure you can do the same for Browser.
That's the thing...it does not show anymore because I tried LastPass, and set Browser to default because it kept prompting. However, I don't see the default Browser in the Manage Applications list.
Should work with all versions.
Opera is known to be blazing fast on computers, and it's no different here. Makes a world of a difference.
Could one of you who have this new Opera answer a question for me?
I used to run Opera on my old Samsung Instinct, and I loved it and it was my default browser then. The only thing that irked me a little bit was the extra step needed to input text into a form or whatever on a website; clicking the text field would bring up the Opera text input screen which had a little "T" on it that once clicked would take you to the device's text input program.
Once the text was inputted there you'd be taken back to that Opera screen where you'd have to click "ok."
In other words, instead of going straight from the text field on a website to the text input screen in the device you were stopped at the Opera screen first, going both ways.
Dunno what you're talking about, but clicking on a text box brings up the keyboard and you type right away.
