Htc Wildfire help with Themes

I want to change the background colour on my Wildfire. But want to keep the original clock and also the People shortcuts I have added? How can I do this please?

Dude, what background do you mean? I'm thinking of many backgrounds here lol
So I have to assume you mean the wallpaper on your homescreen, (hopefully I'm right)

Hi yes must be the wallpaper (I'm an oldie) lol. But browsed thro the ones on the phone and first of all they are too fancy. Second I have all my shortcuts set up just the way i want (like default clock too) and was hoping to just change the colour of the background behind them?
Is there a way?

Ahh i see lol :)
Well the wallpapers that come with the phone are the ones you've already seen.
If you want to change the actual colour of your home screen (e.g. completely red wallpaper):
You have to download it of the internet first and then transfer it to your Wildfire by plugging it into the pc via a USB cable then selecting 'Disk Drive' on your Wildfire when the notification appears that prompts you to select your device mode

Just want a pretty background lol
But don't want to lose all my shorcuts (and the default HTC clock) that I have set up on every screen to do it

Oh k alright, then follow my procedure in my 2nd post then, when you have downloaded the background, then follow the link in my first post to display your background

Understand finding a wallpaper and adding it to my Widfire. But can you point me to a webpage - without lots of pop up, that has plain and simple Wallpapers (as not sure about size)

So if I find one I like I can add it and it will stay in the background and not alter my scene I have now, clock shorcuts I have picked etc?

Zedge is a site i once used for ringtones and wallpapers, i dont think i got any pop ups, there are also categories for wallpapers

Yes when you change your wallpaper it will not change anything on your homescreen
You know you can save your homescreen configuration e.g. placement of widgets, shortcuts etc.
Follow this guide

1) From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Scenes.
2) Under My scenes, make sure the Current (unsaved) option is selected and then tap Save.
3) Enter a scene name for your Home screen and then tap Done.
Tip: To replace a scene that you created previously, enter the same scene name, tap Done and then tap Replace.
