I have an optimus m that's rooted I flashed the phone twice and decided to try and use Rom Manger to update my custom recovery well that was not such a good idea cause I went to flash the cm 7 rom onto my phone which I have done before after I flashed the phone and it reboot as normal but once it got past the loading screen it said that the lg setup tool could not be found now I tried to go into my custom recovery and I can scroll up and down but i cannot select anything if i press the button that is supposed to let you select stuff the screen goes blank except for the little hat thing ok now what i've tried I have tried the lg recovery through the lg update tool followed it to the letter and got nothing it just told me my phone was already up to date I also tried lgpnst idk if it's lab or not but that will not even let me hit start and yes i did the reggie thing and all that maybe somebody can point me in the right direction of something that will work I should have just left the sense rom on it

ROM manager is fine for the OM. I am using it, and have been using it since the developer playfulgod first introduced it for our phone, and that includes the clockwork recovery. They both work great!

As to the CWM recovery, the selection button is the camera button. From your description of the hat, it sounds like you are using CWM and not getitnowmarketing's recovery.

Yeah it's fine if you dont get ROM manager from the market because it does not have Optimus M in there. It has Optimus V which WILL work but not properly. You would have to flash CWM that has been modded by playful god to actually get it to work properly. I say skip all that non-sense and grab thunderc's or getitnowmarketing's recovery. I personally use getitnowmarketing's. Work's great.

Actually it has the Optimus C and Optimus V. If you choose the Optimus C (Cricket Wireless version of the Optimus M, so they are identical twins) it will work just fine. The C is a twin to the M, and all the button mapping is the same and the mount points for flashing the recovery are the same. It will and does work.

Was unaware they made the C so similar. Thanks for the info.

Optimus v is bootable, some recoveries wont boot from it though, but you can't use it at all, button mapping is all wrong....and aflick is right about the C ......for all the newbies, flash the OPTIMUS C LW690 from ROM MANAGER, don't choose anything else! OM and OC are exactly the same, the Optimus C even suffered of the same reboot problem we had... the C is for cricket and the M is for metropcs.....I also ported BACKside to the Optimus C recently because the only ROM they have besides backside is PlayfulGod's CM7 ROM and BobZhomes cm7 but was last updated in January .........so I thought I may as well since the last time the C users have had an update was then..not much deving happening for the C :(
