Root how can i unroot for warranty?

i went to metro today because the overheating issue is getting bad since the weather is getting hotter. guy said he can replace for me if i unroot it. really nice guy. so is there a way to unroot?? i dont have cwm but if i decide to replace im guna need to get it to backup. any help or advice appreciated thanks

you know how to do a hard reset that will unroot your phone turn off the phone push the power and vol down button same time hold them both in till a screen shows up says hard factory reset then follow instructions also a metro employee told me rooting your phone does not void warranty.

Thanks for the update i do have a question even tho this is not the thread for it ive been trying to upgrade the phone to the new software zv9 and each time i try from lg tool upgrade it says i have the latest zv8 plus i dont know if this is correct but it wont even connect to phone inless i restart it know anything on this or a link please
