Inc 2 or Droid 3?

Which one?

So, I'm on my 4th, yes 4th, replacement "refurbished 100% like new" original HTC Incredible in about 2 weeks time. And, as I should have expected, this one is also defective. The Verizon rep that I talked to said that he would be able to send me a newer, but like refurbished device. The two that he said he could get me is Incredible 2 or Droid 3.

Looking at the specs, the Droid 3 seems to have the advantage, but it seems the Inc 2 is the popular choice. I was hoping someone here could help me out and give me some insight as to what the best choice would be?

One thing to consider is #1, I like to root. So I would want to do that with this new device. And, #2, I'm actually due for an upgrade. Although I am waiting because there is nothing out there that I'm in a big hurry to get. I'm patiently waiting for the "next big thing". Maybe the SIII or fighter?

Anyways, when I upgrade I will be selling this new replacement device. So it would be nice if it has good re-sale value as well.

Thanks in advance for the insight and help!

When the same thing happened to me while I was on the Thunderbolt, I asked to speak to a supervisor and finally got them to upgrade me to a Bionic. I'd press them to get you a Rezound which is better than either if you're an HTC fan or a Razr, at least, if you're a Motorola fan. 4 duds in a row is unacceptable and you do deserve for them to give you something better.

Welp, verizon changed their mind yet again and shortly after I called them to choose the inc 2, I got a phone call stating that the warranty does not allow them to swap the phones out like that. So they had to send me another og inc. Just got it today. So far so good. But I'm not calling it good yet...come on inc #5 within 2 weeks!

Complain loud enough, long enough, and they will do it. They replaced my Eris with an original Inc after I had received 4 "rigorously" tested referbs. They even let me keep the last Eris they sent me, which has scrolling issues and a faulty radio but keeps the kid happy. After the gingerbread debacle fried my Inc, they replaced it with a 2. I didn't even have to complain to loudly, they knew their software was the issue.

If you have issues with your latest replacement, I would ask to speak with a manager. They can usually work something out for you.
