Root Why does anyone like sense?

Really? I was really referring to a lack of SBC kernels when I was talking about that lol so there are some SBC kernels? If so, I'd like to try some.

Is it safe to use or am I doing something wrong by not waiting until the phone fully boots then connecting the charger? That part got me really nervous.

well i have not heard of anybody saying their phone exploded

just follow what the op says and you should be fine. also read the posts in the thread, sometimes you get some good intel on the kernel (or rom) that way as well.

I had been using Version .2 for a couple of weeks. No problems. I think you want it to full boot for the SBC part to work. Some have complained about the SBC stopping working when they had been using their phone while it was charging.

If that does happen then you reboot the phone and plug it back in.

AOSP ROMS are built from source so they have no sense at all (har-har).

thanks rex, Ill look at google music..do you need to put music into the app, or will it detect something is playing? Basically I am getting at the fact that moving podcasts into the right google music folder will get tedious..wonder if and how pandora will work...

i am on miui right now (kinda liking it) and the player on lock screen works for me..i wish they could get that aspect into sense!

On sense 3.5 roms it has a lock screen player. It only works with the stock HTC player I think.

Does anyone know of anything I can do to have music controls on the pull down bar? That is one thing I love about cm7 no matter what I'm doing I can skip or rewind tracks by pulling down the bar, but on sesnse I can only pause

I dont want the stock music player..moving files into it get tedious. I am currently on AOKP milestone 4..it has been very stable and fast...so for now, I am on team AOSP, my wife still uses mikg though..guess she is the..."sense-able" one!!! :rofl:

Yes I did miss the post and I'm sorry he was warned. I'm still having a hard time understanding what for. I see nothing inappropriate with his remark. Unless what I am seeing was edited. I'll have to ask him about it when I get the chance and remember it.

I think anything that is done in humor that is not directly offending to anyone or group is not offensive humor. And technically he is correct AOSP ROMS have no Sense. That is one of the things that separate the two types of ROMs.

Having had the Hero and now the Evo, sense has always been one of the best overlays around. But when the Hero was updated to 2.1, sense began to lag. Fortunately, root and AOSP was there to speed up the phone. So, I ran AOSP until I got the Evo.

It wasn't till I got the Evo, I began to understand how pretty sense can be and how fast sense can run. Having a phone that can run sense and aosp without having performance problems is nice. It's now more about running something different instead of having to run a rom that I have to because of performance issues. Although, I enjoy running aosp, sense for me is better. There's only so much ADW, LauncherPro, Go can do and I always find myself trying to make the phone look like a sense rom. Fortunately, ICS has been a big change from previous aosp roms so I believe Google is moving in the right direction with ICS so I may find myself running aosp more in the future
