Root Free Freeze Apps

titanium backup will freeze any app for free as long as you're rooted.

you only get three thaws tho with the free version.

If you know you'll never use the app then why bother? just get the free version, freeze all the apps you want and forget about it.

You need the apps installed and active to update your phone. I learned that the hard way. But the app I got is amazing. Love it! And Free!

I didn't. I had root and eight apps frozen and my phone updated fine this week. I lost root but got it back using the Motofail version of root.

Now updates might fail if you uninstall system apps.. even bloatware.

Weird. I tried to freeze with Ti, but it said I wasn't paid. Water under the bridge now, found a better one that lets me unfreeze. Which is actually useful for me. I like to freeze and unfreeze the NFL app lol.

Same. I wiped the data on my Facebook app and it froze it, but I wanted to open it just long enough to get the updated contact pics from Facebook, then it wouldn't let me freeze it because it was the free version. Even when I wiped the data again, I guess it was a freebie or a one time bug. I just deleted the NFL app, though, along with Netflix, Google Magazines, that "audio is too loud" warning, and Google TV and Movies.
