[Verizon] Any OS update news? 4.0.5 for VZ???

I personally feel bad for those who are having all these issues. I only have the ones I do because of my proximity to an AT&T tower but only until Saturday. YAY house finally closed!!

But, I can empathize with those who are having the issues they are, as I had SO many with the Bionic and after 4 replacement units in 11 days, hours on the phone with VZW and in locations, I had enough and bought this phone.

Everyone told me I didn't do this, or did or didn't install or remove this, shoulda rooted and use this rom or that one and it really p**sed me off when none of them really understood what I was dealing with. Its one thing to come on forums like this with all you fine people and ask for help and guidance and get polite and sound advise or assistance and learn, and other ones I have been on asked and was told I did something wrong or was dumb for not doing x or y.

I love this phone coming from both the DX and Bionic and I really hope the signal issues you are experiencing is fixed and you can enjoy this phone all over again. Kinda like watching spaceballs after a few years. :)

my dx was by far the best phone i ever had, no question.

hell some places are like that, androidforums is a prime example of how a forum really should be.

sure we get aggravated here and there, but that is just life, it's going to happen, but luckily we have staff who monitor almost everything very closely and can generally do very good, and sometimes it's the staff that gets out of hand, and we have other staff members who will take care of it. so you're always going to be in good hands when you come here. whether you root or not, we will always provide assistance.

Something else I said shortly after the Nexus release.

Hmmm, edited for an incorrect statement.
Let's see how this works.
The Nexus makes popcorn and it comes out of the rear speaker.

well i wouldnt worry about it, let people think what they want, its all on what you really have to deal with, usually when you get attacked like that, or you sense snide or rude comments, its best to report those users, and ask for a response from who is handling the report on what is being done. it is never a good idea to attack back.

but no one will tell me that my nexus problems are the cause of me, and that my dx wasnt the best phone i ever had, cause they do not know of my life and what i do.

dang, shoulda let the DX crowd know, including me. i would have supported ya. totally agree.

I'm sure I posted something in the DX forum.
I stated that I liked the 4G and the ability to use voice and data simultaneously, but other than that the DX owners weren't missing anything.

My DX wasn't slow, so I really don't notice the speed of dual core, the DX didn't have JavaScript issues, I preferred having the notification and ringer volumes separate, and I missed the menu button.

At least Bamf gave me the separate volumes and fixed javascript.

Perhaps. The header says "OS upgrades ie GB to ICS" This tells me nothing about the GN :captain:

Yeah exactly. So probably nothing. Notice how we are in the same weird wait/holding pattern we were prior to the release? Verizon really does hate the Nexus. They'd much rather peddle their subsidized Droids and HTCs ;)

Lol! Even funnier, honestly, are the conspiracy theories :D

But true we are in a similar holding pattern once experienced before. Except I'm soo content with this phone and the goodies we get to play with in the meantime!

Oh yeah, much more fun for sure. Just frustrating having to call people back on 1/3 of my calls (which aren't many) because the outbound audio dies. :(
