Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

So what's the best free Antivirus? I have been using Norton but it expired and I never did feel that it worked.

I LOVE AVG Free. That and the free Comodo firewall keep me safe & secure. Do Not Track Plus is just icing on the cake: nobody gets to track my surfing behavior anymore :D

EDIT: BTW thanks to Dawnierae for the milkshake idea earlier: I'm sipping on a rockin' homemade chocolate malt right now! YUMMOUS

I never did get my milkshake. :( But I did make a smoothie with homegrown strawberries. :)

Infinitely more healthy than the monstrosity I consumed... I kept having to tweak it to get it right. More ice cream, more milk, more malt, more ice cream... by the time it was halfway viscous I had about 40 ounces of malt to put down!

Hey y'all. I wants to say that some of my greatest enjoyment of this thread is just reading and learning about you folks. I don't get to post as much as the average GNWH bear and for a while I was feeling down about it. You guys/gals helped me get to and through to this great phone in the MegaThread and are always here for me when I need you. Yeah, life is crazy and even Han has been absent recently up until 150 posts ago. All I am trying to say is thank you for having and maintaining such a warm and friendly environment. I think I may start spending some time in the Unanswered Threads so that I can give back. I may be absent, as I have been on and off, while I try and help others in my free time.

For the record: AOKP B33 LK3.3.0 STABLE

And a pic of my little boy on his 18 month bday, in which we cut his hair:

Love you guys/gals!

Morning all. Early start for me, But only have to work until 1pm, then a one night church retreat with the wifey.

My phone had a major freak out yesterday, had just finished a post on tapatalk, then the reboot splash screen popped up for two seconds, then it froze, then it completely rebooted again starting at the Google screen. This phone has some crazy gremlins in it every once in a while.

Happy Friday Morning! JMar, loved your son's long hair, but wow...what a handsome little guy with the short hair. I downloaded the Amazon free App last night (at 3:02 am), Audubon Birds: A field Guide (normally 9.99). Got up this am and started playing around with it and was going to come on here and recommend it today for those of you interested in birds. I went on Amazon to get the proper wording of the app and surprisingly, it was no longer the app of the day. Guess they must not change the free apps at midnight?

I think you got lucky, they change it at midnight pacific time, hense 3:00AM here on the East Coast. You must have snuck in just under the wire.

Good morning everyone! TGIF! (Sorry - I know some of you have to work tomorrow and you have my sincere sympathies).
Anyone doing anything good this weekend? I have to go get my daughter's and my passports renewed in the last name we all have now, then my parents surprised me by saying they got season tickets to Six Flags this year (it DOES pay to still live with your parents more often than not) so we are headed down to Jackson NJ to get that taken care of. Sunday is movie day! Taking Ann (my daughter) to see Chimpanzee and then headed to see The Lucky One in the afternoon. Maybe I'll even splurge and see The Hunger Games. :)

How long till Android finds a way to add a hot swap feature. A small reserve battery that would allow batteries to be swapped without turning the phone off. The reserve battery could also double as a safety feature, allowing an emergency call even after the main battery has died.

Heck of an idea and I'm not sure why it hasn't already been implemented.

Fun! The wife wants to see The Lucky One. Will probably take her after work Saturday. The Hunger Games was great!

I'm not sure this would be helpful. I think there is a percentage of energy loss each time you change the state of energy (discharge / charge) so you may be lowering the overall life of the battery. The phone would need to run constantly on the reserve which would continuously be charged by the battery. Like adding a UPS to your PC. And since the GNex powers on in like ~30 seconds, I'd rather get 13 hours out of a charge than 10 with hot swap. Just my thoughts, I have no science to back it up though.

Morning BB, and the rest of you nexicans. I have 6 yards of mulch to spread this weekend.
