I use a lot of the Go apps...ie go launcher etc
I like the Go apps because they feel like HTC's Sense with a little imagination. They re-did the keyboard, the SMS program (which I swear is faster than stock if you never delete old messages), the launcher, weather widget, etc. Unfortunately I'm starting to see some overlap in their software, but it's still pretty nice considering how much free space you have to work with.

Apps I simply cannot live without:

  • ES File Explorer: File management, Bluetooth transfer, Dropbox, Box.net, SugarSync, FTP access, and more.
  • QuickPic: A fast image browser if you have more than a couple of pics.
  • Quick Settings: Hold the Search key to set a number of things.
  • Notification Launcher: Until you get custom notification toggles, use this, it's almost as good.
  • Opera Mobile: The most powerful browsing engine I've seen. I'd use Firefox but it's not as good (on the mobile side).
Other, very good apps:

  • TuneIn Radio Pro: Free off GetJar's market.
  • TekTrak: A free year of device tracking, again free off GetJar.
  • Beautiful widgets: A fancy HTC-like clock with weather and more. Again, free off GetJar. I like free things.
  • Flash: If you don't have it, why do you even have this phone.
  • TubeMate: Instead of watching YouTube videos, download them forever. Free online, legally. Google just don't like it.
  • Crackle: Free TV shows, movies, anime. No registration :D

What's the advantage of changing the PRL?
Thanks!
You'll get access to the latest Sprint towers. That's about it, but it's a pretty good idea.

Rom Toolbox, Android overclock, Wifi Tether (allows u to us your phones internet connection wirelessly to other computers and devices. Just browse the forum for custom roms and then apply them. if u need help with installing a rom PM me and ill help.
Unfortunately ad-hoc tethering means we still can't connect Android to Android.
