Root ok who is working on roms?

I am currently making a stock rom, making sure everything i compile works, and i'm gonna test it out tomorrow, and after that i'll start working on adding features to the kernel like new cpu governors, as of right now i just have deodexed apks, waiting for my new connect to test it on.

Great news! Any plans for LV kernel at this point (getting a little ahead I know with no custom roms yet)? Thanks for working on this! The deodexed apostle alone will be nice. I have no skill in this area but I'd be happy to test if that helps.

Is that the source code for the phone? If not then we need to fork it onto github and we can go from there on ics and or cm9! Ill have to jump into irc here soon and see what's going on lol. I may not know a whole lot. But I know a bit that might be helpful lol

Qualcomm released the ICS binaries for the Adreno 220 gpu. Shouldn't this help get ICS on this device? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1550185

It'll help for sure, but I'm doubtful very much at this point. I did read about the latest Adreno 220 driver for ICS having a noticeable performance boost though so I'm hopeful to see us with that much later on (especially with ROM and kernel development still having a little ways to go first with even GB). Good to know it is available though.

not really, its changes in the kernel mainly, tho those would help in the final product, just not a most have to get ICS/CM9 running.

I will prolly attempt a CM9 port for the Connect, but I need to get past the issues I have with my esteem port b4 I try another device. Well thats unless it has ICS stock, then it shouldnt be as hard a task lol.

The source code for the phone is in LG's opensource site under LGMS840, I believe this is a good starting point if you're gonna do anything relatiung to CM9 and ICS, but i believe it will take a good amount of experience to get CM9 to work on this thing as the Source code we have are GB.
with the exception of the kernel src, the rest is about useless ;)

oh and I have compiled CM7 for it ;)
