We are proud to release our rom on Android Forums for the first time. We have been making sourcery since 2010 for the original droid. And now on the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon.


If anyone sees a wrong credit or not credited please let us know we will fix it.

If you find any of your work in our tools and you want it removed let us know we will do so immediately.

Please follow these install instructions.
1)clear davlik cache
2)wipe data/cache
3)install ICSourcery V 2.0
4)install Gapps2.0
5)boot into rom and be in awe of chizzele's great boot animation
6)sign in and wait for all market apps to Restore
7)after market apps have restored Reboot
8)Enjoy

We have more aligned with stock Gapps so if you were to install others it should work fine but you will lose a couple apps and themed apps.

Did you know--- ICSourcery is the rom that updates itself

-There are approx 100 softkey mods--you can change your softkeys without rebooting. and than change them to any transparency or color you choose.
-There are many battery mods--also able to change without rebooting(goto sourcery modifications /battery and turn on mods)
-All themes are right in the rom with previews and only a reboot to apply them (7 now with more coming)
-The animations that show when you change pages ..yeah you can change them too
-What about the other mods out there...you tell us and well do the mod for you and it will also appear in the rom without you have to search for them
-Over 120 boot animations(many are hdpi resolution) but xhdpi are coming daily.
-The pull downs--yup can change those too.
-Fonts-them too.
-We send you messages about updates right to your rom
-What about more apps we may like--tell us we'll add them as you can install them right through the rom also.

We have just added DeVorteX to the team as Co- Developed and are building up github and redoing source with 4.0.4 be patient But this is 4.0.3 it has many of the updates from android git that are in 4.0.4 all? no but its stable and i find it hard to find anything that 4.0.4 would add to the experience at this time.

So where do you find more info about ICSourcery....You only need 1 place the rom itself.

and very very very heavily themed lol

its very nice, i love the keyboard

hate the notification tone... it scared me at first haha, but so far i am enjoy this.

Hi all just wanted to drop in. While T-Dev will be doing most support here i will try to stop in from time to time.

Wanted to let you all know what team sourcery is and where we are at .

Team Sourcery has been around since the original droid starting with the release of sourcery on dec 25 2010.

We have made several changes over time up until recently i have been the only rom developer. We have added DeVorteX to the team as co-developer. Some may know him from Vortex rom for the droid x.
DeVortex While has already started rolling into sourcery in a big great way. his touch hasnt even made it into the rom yet so it will only get better.

This is the rom that updats itself.
You wont see us announcing a new build every other day. you dont have to reinstall the rom to get bug fixes, new stuff, new features, new themes. whatever it comes to the rom itself.
We attempt to keep it down to no more than a major update a month. and while we may not have a .1,.2,.3,.4 build inbetween there are new mods,themes, softkeys whatever added frequently to the rom without a new release thread , so just because its not a new thread doesnt mean the rom isnt new when you pick it up.

ICSourcery was the first rom with softkey changing and we believe it is still easier in ICSourcery than any of the roms that have since added them.

We are currently rebuilding all aspects of sourcery to include the great knowledge of DeVortex and his abilities.

The rom out now was built of 4.0.3 but much of what is in 4.0.4 is in this rom as it was added from android git before the merge to make 4.0.4.

We strive and will continue to attempt to make this the most customizable rom out there.
We promise well support the rom. we monitor the forums and will answer every post just be patient incase you catch us all at work.

We all work full time and are a very small team so we cant pump out stuff like the big guys but we will be your mom and pop rom . the rom that makes you feel part of it , and thats what we want you find mods,wallpapers,softkeys,bootanis,kernels,pull downs, animated pull downs. animated gifs you want us to make a pull down. just post or email info to icsourcery@gmail.com and well add it to the rom for all to enjoy.
We will even make custom pulldowns just for you.

We are all here to have fun and hope you enjoy what we do.

We are for the first time putting the rom up on github and this has been a huge learning curve for us me especially.

But i did the first repo sync and build off the github tonight. its basic and alot of work to be done. and this has slowed us down but will be a much better future .
So while there isnt much in it yet. i can say i am running sourcery build off 4.0.4 at this time so its coming.

We also communicate to our users of new happening within team sourcery and the rom right through the rom in tools/push notifications. so make sure to go and check there often and you can choose menu and set intervals for it to check for you and notify you when we post a new message to the rom.

There is only 1 place you need to go for all the latest regarding ICSourcery and thats in the rom itself.
We also tweet all new updates and happening on twitter @icsourcery.

make sure to check extra apps frequently also as we also update them often and the icsourcery wallpapers app will always be at the top so when we have new wallpapes made or submitted to us. you can get them right away.

This rom cant be described through pictures or text. its something you have to see as it is unique and does things in a way no other rom has.

do suggest you flash them as they do seem to work better with the rom. we as most if not all roms do not flash radios with the rom.

Voided, this always makes me laugh... I was asked to create a unique sound for sourcery. Our Developer eagle1967 in place, so i thought of an eagle scream with the rom name whispered afterward was the way to go. My favorite "scared the crap outta me" comes from our very own themer Xkape.

He has paired his phone with his car stereo... must have had the volume turned waaayyyy up... he stoped at a stoplight and received a text and the scream scared the hell out of him, and the next 5 cars in line with him... I laughed till I cried

If you like a more stock look, try the 1st theme in the list. it is a total stock feel to the rom... We have more themes on the way.. running a version right now that will knock your socks off

Thanks...Thought I could, but fairly new to this. So far this has been a crazy way cool ride with this rom! about the only thing it doesn't do is make coffee. Love the boot anime...Battery seems, well I can't say, been playing too much with it so I'm at fault for the battery cycle.

The coffee maker feature has been a real pain. it works but each time its used it make the little paper in battery compartment show the phone got wet which would void hardware warranties so we cant release it with a major bug like that.
than it only makes decaff. when making caffeinated coffee it pumps the kernel up to 1.7ghz which causes boot loops. So due to these problems im not sure it will make it into the next release either. I heard 4.0.5 may have some fixes for this.

yeah, some of them are not maximized for the screen size. something others have mentioned as well. Might look at notating which ones are optimized for future release.

Yeah many are hdpi boot ani's. We continue to add stuff so it will build up with xhdpi ones you have any you want added link us.
