T-Mobile Galaxy Note

I have been hoping the G-Note would come to tmobile, and this just confirms that they will get eventually. Anybody else want the Note on Tmobile if it comes out?

If the Note came out the same time as the Nexus on Verizon, I'd probably jump on it instead. It's quite the beast. I just convinced a friend to jump from her 3GS to a Note and she loves it!

What's wrong with T-Mobile? I love HSPA+, it provides great data speeds, while not being too hard on battery life.

I would've been interested in the Note for T-Mobile, but they are extremely late. If they would've decided to keep the Exynos in the T-Mobile version, I would sell my International Note just to switch back, AT&T's data speeds are quite disappointing in my area.

I paid my contract off with T-Mo because their data speeds could not begin to compare with any of the other carriers in AZ. Other than that, they were fine. Customer service was great, and coverage was fine, but data speeds were maddeningly slow, and once you have had LTE, it is really hard to go back to that.

I've been planning on getting the Note. Until now, you had 2 options: buy the slower i717 variant and flash the radio or use the GT-N7000 and suffer using edge only speeds.

After chatting with 2 agents and calling t-mo directly, they confirmed that 1900mhz base band for data should be active everywhere (forums state otherwise), so the international version should get data on T-Mo now.

Has anyone tried? I'm "this" close to picking up an N7000.

Thanks. i agree. From what I've read, it's not rolled out in many places.

I called T-mobile and they claim 1900mhz bandwidth is everywhere. i don't know why the agents at t-mo say that. I'm in New Orleans and all 3 claim 1900mhz is here and refarmed as data.

I'm on the fence about the N7000. it's such a better phone compared to the i717, but if i can't get data, it's useless for me.

What do you guys think?

you should be able to get 2g just not 3g/ hspa unless you are in one of the areas that has the reformed towers that support HSPA on the 1900mhz bandwidth. It really comes down to whether you want fast speeds or a faster device. How much slower is AT&T's gnote compared to the international version anyways? I mean I have heard that it renders some things slower but other than that they are close to the same speed.

How do you find out about the 1900 update? I like my SGP 5.0 and would like the "same thing but better" without screwing around with rooting my first nice phone.
