Root Wht Is Your Reason?????

I've been on both D and B several times. Alternating between the 2 to see if there is in fact a difference or if it's just placebo. Results? Placebo. D didn't make anything better or faster or smoother. D fixed the reboot problems C was having.

Point being if your on B and your NOT having any problems, then DONT UPGRADE. Stay on B. Besides, the ROMs, kernels and themes are all better on battery life on B.

I have upgraded and stayed D, but B was better on battery by far. I could easily get a full day on B with 30% battery after using it extensively. I get about 8 hours of heavy use on D and it is dead, but I got a new car and had to redo my bluetooth and the ROM I was using on B had the bluetooth issue, so it gave me a reason to try D. I will probably stay, but B was much better for me.

I mean no harm, you know it, im just correcting a lil here :D, D fixed the powercycling that B caused and C couldnt fix. C was just another B (a far as visible differences between the two)...forgot to mention C removed root.
Why B came out in the first place? Because A was causing some phones to go into "downloading, do not unplug..bla bla bla" mode. :p

B didnt cause power cycling. Ihave been on B since day one and have had zero reboot stock or flashed, My other Esteem which Ive had 2 months longer then this one was on B and also had zero reboot in the 2-3 months it was completely stock Which that one is now on C and once again with zero problems, only reason its on C is because it got bricked in IRC flashing Gingersteem in 3 parts trying to beat the cwr reboot problem we had at first. :D

I'm sorry sir, i hate to disagree with you also , but, I was also on B with cero (Spanish for 0) reboots.
Just like only a few A's had the "download....bla bla" issue, power cycling B only affected some phones, not all of them. Then C came out to save the day but failed.

I know what I'm saying
Trust me, I'm a doctor :nurse: (nurse?)

Give gbiggie OO OG :D a crack at it there Jaybondzewell first you don't Succeed try try again doesn't hurt to try

i think your all nuts!! lol the only reason at all to stay on B (at this point..) is if you are stock and want the battery life everyone claims it gives.. zvd was a great update for more reasons than one..

was many 'good additions' to the stock zvd kernel vs. the stock zvb, including homeless kernel-like features for better battery life on D, the only reason people stay on B rooted is because the 'Custom' kernels have the features added which of coarse makes the phone better.. but B itself is not that good..

Updates are made for a reason.. i understand that all phones are made different blah blah blah.. but ZVD all in all is just a better base, performance wise and all.. Plus when was the last time a zvb rom was updated?

mind you this is MY opinion, which i have every right to!! :D

and sorry for calling you all crazy lol

The first ZVB phone I had would reboot about every 2 hours unless it was connected to the charger. It was warranty replaced and the new one would reboot about once or twice a day. I rooted it and installed GSE with no more reboots. Updated my three esteems to ZVD and it was like having new phones. The battery lasts much longer (especially in stand-bye) and much smoother. I know others have a different opinion but for me updating has been the best move I ever did. The worst move I ever did was install ZVB kernels after updating w/o backup:eek:(Thank you Ldrifta:eek:)

to sum it up, all the updates were an attempt to fix the random reboot issue, which not everyone was having. They did few other changes, the biggest ones I seen were in ZVD in the kernel as LG used about 90% of the battery settings the homeless and my kernel used.

SO basically if its not broken why bother upgrading if there is no benefits from ;)

I am currently using ROM: BorokenOutRom 1.0 (MS910ZVB) with Kernel: 2.6.35.7 BlitzKrieg. I usually leave for work around 8AM and get back home around 10PM and usually have about 10-14 % battery life remaining from all day usage without recharging plus I have 3000m extended battery. I had a ZVD rom and along with another kernel and could only get about 8 hours. This is my second ZVB rom which seem to have a better battery life than ZVD but of course I still get the bluetooth issue every once in a while. I need the battery life more than I need bluetooth. BTW I work for Metropcs so I get to see and hear about the differences everyday.
