I got my 1st Android device, I love it; it's a Samsung Galaxy sII. It's Sprint so I was easily able to integrate my Google voice #, man that was easy and now I am able to make calls and texts from my GV #.

I was a long time Blackberry fan, and recently came from the iPhone but this phone stacks right up there with them. :hello:

Curious how google + photo Instant Upload works, is it anything like iPhones photo stream?

I liked being able to take photos and have them instantly show up on my PC. What if anything is the best option on the Android OS with my Galaxy s2? I don't want to share the album publicly but I'd like to be able to quickly access my phones pics on a Website/ PC.

Thanks,
Shane

I don't know about the iPhone, but the google+ instant upload is a great feature. It just automatically uploads any photo you take to google+. Then you can go onto google+ and choose if you want to share it or leave it private. You can also set up your phone to have your photos synced with Picasa. You can choose to make them public or leave them private there as well. Hope that helps you out a little. :)

I got instant upload to work, thanks.

I like everything about the Samsung Galaxy SII except the horrible radio, the signal on this phone degrades dramatically when inside of buildings. but soon as I step outside the signal goes back to normal, it bugs the hell out of me so much that im gonna just fork over the cash when the EVO LTE comes out even though I just got the Samsung Galaxy SII only 2 months ago.

Nice!

It's good to see that you didn't fall into the vicious cycle of "But wait! That other, better phone is coming out in X months!"

That always means waiting forever. I was going to get the Evo 3D, but waited for the Photon 4G, and finally realized that this would just keep happening abd got the Epic 4G Touch.

I weighed all the issue and for me the Epic 4G Touch was perfect. So far I have the occaisonal GPS issue but I dont use GPS too much so its not a big issue and so far , used GPS 10 times and 6 times came right on . Not great but ya know. My big thing with the notes, LTE and GS3 is how big they are. i dont want a phone that is a tablet. I think 4.3 to 4.5 is borderline but ok . I do not want anything larger .

ttt, any idea on this?

Do I need to install Drivers on my Mac, when I plug my Galaxy sII into USB on my iMac, it is not showing up in Finder (similar to My Computer).

Thank you,
Shane

Well, good luck ! As a many years of Mac user, Apple does not make it easy to use android. I am lucky I got a heads up form my APPle store and kept SNOW LEOPARD . In Snow Leopard I can plug in my USB and even just upload my photo's into Iphoto etc. guess on the latest you can't do that anymore. I went to the APple store and their computers didn't see anything in finder either, and they thought that was weird... Keep us posted on what you find out.
