Thunderbolt GPS Issue (searching

Ok, so I updated my Thunderbolt last week to:

Android Version 2.3.7
Baseban Version: 1.48.00.0906w_1.0.01.78.096w_2
Kernal Version: 2.6.35.14-cm-shed-2+
MOD Version: ThunderShed-v15_CM7.2_Tbolt

Before that my Navigation used to lock every time at high speeds. Now it does not lock at all. Maps detect my location, but GPS just states "Searching fro GPS" and nothing else happens.

I have searched online for any solution, to no success. I have changed my radio drivers, gps.conf file, used the gps status software, tried different roms, but nothing seems to be working.

Can anyone here help me out, its driving me crazy. If you have a rom which works great with gps, speed, and 4g lte, please let me know where I can find it and install. I use it quite often and now I have to go the old fashion way, using Google to print out directions.

Thanks in advanced.

P.S. - I have also gone to the previous rom I had, and still not working.

I had the same issue, mine just stopped all of a sudden. Check to see if the 4 prong things on the back are making contact with the back of the case.

I have the trident case with the extended battery. And for some reason taking it out of the case and pulling the rubber part out it would then make contact and find satellites but of course you can't use the case that way.

So my fix was on the case side of it where the phones prongs rest on the case metal or foil posts, I folded up some tin foil over them in between the hard shell and rubber cases.
I get satellite location really fast now.

Might give it a shot. In the stock case I wasn't getting anything and usually only getting 1x on data which made no sense at all.

I will give this a shot and let you know how it goes. I did buy the extended battery and using this case: Amazon.com: Extended Battery/Door for HTC Thunderbolt (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

I will try when I get home. Hope it works.

Ok, I did try this and it did not lock. I removed the aluminum and just left it on the dash for like about 3 min and then it locked. Now it locks, but I have to wait about 3 min for it to do so.

Anyone else have any more Ideas? Which radio is the best for thunderbolts?

Does anyone have a better MOD than the Thundershed 1.5? Seems like ever since I installed this MOD, I have not been getting 4G all the time.

I fixed it. Woot.

I did have to install another ROM, I installed the Liquid Smooth ROM, it's a pretty good and fast ROM. Now I get a lock every single time I open navigator. It locks in seconds now and everything seems to be working well now.

I think it was my radio driver, since the liquid smooth ROM comes with a different radio from the one I had installed. So, if anyone is having issues as well, they can try and installing the radio.

Here is a link to where I got the Rom from:
+++ Liquid Smooth Roms 3.2 for HTC Thunderbolt +++ - xda-developers

Good luck to any with this issue. I had been looking for weeks now.
