im kind of frustrated at the MMS stuff, it seems like i can only get like 1 out of every 10 pictures that are sent to me :( friends back home send me pics and when i click on download it says it was unsuccessful.. i used the native sms app and the chompsms and both do the same thing - is this an issue others are having and is it recognized to be fixed by verizon or whoever? im scared to delete my texts because i really want to see these pictures from back home...

.thx.

Forgot to mention ... you don't have the stock Messaging app renamed or deleted, do you? When I did this, I could not received any MMS messages, even though SMS came thru just fine.

no, all i did was disable the notifications for the stock messenger. i know a good friend that works at verizon wireless and she has an eris and never can get any MMS either, but no one ever really talks about it at the store even though it frustrates her just as much as me when we try sending pictures to eachother. she uses handcent too ;\

I had this problem the other day myself. Friend was sending me a pic of something and it just wouldn't come through. It would give the file name but show no picture. I went into savemms and the pics showed up there but they weren't showing up in the messaging app. He's on the same network so i doubt it's an issue between carriers. Only difference is he has a BB curve and me the moto droid. I then had my boss (who's got the same phone) send me a pic and it went through fine. So my current theory has something to do maybe between different types of phones? Anyone else able to reproduce these results?
