[Verizon] What rom is giving you the best battery life and smoothest experience?

Just trying to get some users info. I just rooted not to long ago and used aokp, and now im on liquid..which doesnt feel that smooth for me.

So whats everyone elses input? Just seeing what one to try next.

CM9 official and CM9 Kang by Winner00. In terms of battery life and speed I haven't seen better, though I use AOKP for the features.

This is a really good ROM paired with franco M3. Very fast and smooth throughout. Bamf is really good as well.

The kernel that you find to work best for your phone can make all the difference in the world on a ROM.

I've been on M5 since it dropped and with franco M3 it feels almost as fluid as winner00's CM9 kang. A large part of that is because I'm using Trebuchet launcher though. Of course it's much more feature filled than the other 2.

What it always comes down to is you trying them all out to see how it does on your phone and your experience/uses

So i went to try and install BAMF and for some reason liquid is still on there? any ideas? I wiped all 3 things

Another one you can try is Redemption Rom from Lou. I recommend everyone give it a try. If you want really really stock with no added features like BAMF and AOKP and LIquid offer (yes there are those people out there) then i highly suggest Redemption Rom.

It is imo what the stock build should be. Super stable, Super fast and great battery life.

Yeah ive been using BAMF and im not liking it at all. The battery is draining so fast for me. Im prob gonna go back to aokp. I just hope i dont keep getting those error messages and bug report things

Also this question is open to anyone. When you instal a 4.0.4 rom, you dont need to flash the radios right the rom has them included?

I like franco M3, but you'll have to find what you and your phone like best by trying them.

The radios are NOT included typically. If they are, hopefully the dev of that ROM has put in huge red bold that they are.

I have spent 3 days each on Liquid 1.35, ICSourcery, BAMF and aokp b 35. Watching signal and battery. All "stock" roms and screen on the brightest setting with timeout at 1min.
BAMF has a slight edge over #2 aokp. ICSourcery I had to dq...I kept playing with it changing boot animations .... I was weak.... Signal strength and 3 to 4g hand off was comparable across all 4. (Using latest radios) GPS finds me in under 10 seconds on all. Did not test using wifi...do not have it at home or work....it's all 100% data.
Battery gives me about 10% longer life with BAMF. That's not a lot, but f your counting minutes, buy extended life....I carry 2 3500 mAh batteries and burn through both in a day.
Not scientific ....just my 2 cents worth

I'm currently running Liquid 1.35 with the Fracno kernel. Good battery life on the Nexus doesn't exist Just pick your favorite ROM and enjoy it. Battery is going to drain down regardless which one you're on. I haven't really found anything that makes an ounce worth of difference in the battery life...really

Kinda off topic kinda not. On my thunderbolt there was an app made to read the mw consumption and charging rate.. anyone know if any of the roms have this built in?

AOKP M5 with the 4.0.4 radios was a big improvement over stock. Better battery life, very little drain when on standby and improved wireless signal. I've actually experienced less bugs than with the official 4.0.2.

I've been on Gummy 1.2 for a week, and it's by far my favorite ROM. Smooth, great battery life, and all the customization I need.

Just wanted to update on my last post, I switched to BAMF 1.25 about a week ago and it is even better, I went 16 hours without a charger and my phone was at 10%
