Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Trend is being followed. GS III released end of May in Europe, other markets to follow. Prediction: US - late fall.

Yeah, engadget will only say LTE "expected". No dates. Verizon, your nothing if not consistent.

Also, its not a huge jump, other than the processor, (which of course, we won't get). Slightly bigger screen, Touchwiz, slightly more MP in the camera... Still love my Nexus.

The phone listens to you and knows what you want. It recognizes your eye movement and stays on when you're looking at it

It understands your intention to call and makes the call for you

Strange

Guy out with mistress. Looks at phone while thinking "Man, hope my wife doesn't call" Phone thinks "Call wife"

Yeah, I can see that going bad ;)

Now they are demonstrating a call. Motion recognition. So if you raise the phone to your ear it recognizes you are making call to person texting. You don't hve to even dial.

too far...texting someone does not mean you want to call them.

Me thinks straying spouses will not want this phone AT ALL! :p

Here is my take on this phone:

It's an incremental upgrade on the Galaxy Nexus in these ways: screen size, barely; camera, you know, cos more MPs are "better;" CPU/GPU.

It's a downgrade in these ways: TouchWiz; camera cos of the increase in MPs, lol; developer device it is not

SD Card could be in either. Thought I would miss expandable storage with the Nexus but I don't.

I wouldn't consider this phone over my Prime any day. Is it a nice phone? Sure...but it's no Nexus Prime!

This thing is pretty sweet.

SVT - the 8MP sensor on the S2 blows the Nexus away so it also depends on the sensor they use. Normally more MP on a sensor means worse image quality, but they picked a horrible sensor for the Nexus.

I would disagree. I think the Nexus sensor is pretty good when it comes to cameras on phones. My Dad's S2 isn't much, if any better.
