Root Root an lg marquee with android 2.3.4 gingerbread.

Hi I'm new to rooting and I have lg marquee with android 2.3.4 from boost. I like to know if it's possible to root, and if so then can some lead me to the what I need to root my phone?

Take a look in the ALL Things Root section and the guide that is stickied at the top of the page. There is a lot of information there, so don't get overwhelmed. Just take your time to read through some of the developments.

hope this helps...

This helps me out, but the question was specific if it was possible to root lg marquee 2.3.4 gingerbread. Has anyone done it because I all that I read dose not tell me what version of os lg marquee was able to be rooted. I rather not try something unless I know for certain that it is safe to root first before hand. So if anyone has rooted an lg marquee with gingerbread 2.3.4 then please contact me to tell me what the outcome was or maybe a way to revert my phone to when I first open it?

These are all gingerbread. Check your software version under about phone, settings. if it is ZV3 or ZV9 you can root using Playful's method. If it is ZV4 or ZVC you have to downgrade using the kdz method. That is what I had to do and it works.

As Mvaness said, we all have the LG Marquee with Gingerbread 2.3.4. This entire forum is for that specific model. As he saidcheck your SW Version and see what you have you my need to revert to stock before the OTA Update in order to use the root exploits.
