Sprint says this OTA will save you up to 50% battery, but thats probably just due this new app called "connections optimizer" that I assume works similarly to many other apps on the market.

Bottom line: Wait till we have rooted 5.07 ROMS and flash those.

No word if this changes H-boot or not yet.

Check out Good and EVOS full article here:
HTC EVO 4G recieves OTA update to 5.07.651.1, along with Sprint Connections Optimizer

If you go in to the phone and click on Sprint Zone>Help there is a battery optimizer in there as well and it actually works pretty good but for someone reason it made my screen never dim and my phone would never lock but I got 22hrs on a single charge with over 2 hrs of talk time and this is on a stock battery.

Probably so more of us will turn in the phone after it locks it so they can refurb and sell it. (Very High Demand for this Phone) and we can all get the 4g LTE :D

Ok maybe not but it sounds good :D

Well they suck at refurbing phones, I have had 2 replacements one has bad charging port and scratched screen and the 2nd dont even turn on and the charging port has something jammed in it and the screen is separated...

Waiting for Monday so they will get me a new Evo3D for all my problems, GSII is out of the question lol.

Yeah they are really rushing them to get out. No Quality Control there at all. It's amazing that after 2 years this phone still has such a high demand that it causing Sprint a big headache in getting them turned around. I guess now they are just going by a description of "Whats Wrong" with the phone if its nothing to serious they are just sending them out. They probably should open the box and give it a visual at least.

It's still a beast of a phone and it's nowhere near the top of the line right now so if it was still available for purchase with a contract, it would probably be free, or at least no more than $50. I can't believe I am 3 months away from my upgrade and not even jonesing for a new phone. This has NEVER happened to me before. I might even just ride it out for a few months until the GSIII has a special running and snag it. It's the leader in my own personal clubhouse at the moment.

GSIII looks awesome but I want nothing to do with a Samsung product and you throw Touch Wiz on it, forget it. I hope the EVO LTE isn't locked but I may even look at the iPhone 5 4G.

Yeah I'm just not high on the lte because of the locked bootloaders and being forced to use htcdev unlock. I guess its possihle someone will crack true s-off but it's just something I'd rather not worry about.

IPhone has honestly crossed my mind and I can't rule it out but it makes me feel dirty.
