Not very technical person here, I rooted my phone and can follow directions though.

On my emulator for GBA, I am unable to save games. Also for other apps I am unable to write save data. One error I got when opening up "Temple Runner" was:

"File Access Problem Caution, unable to write files. This means your game progress can't be saved! Reason: Access to the path "/mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.imangi.templerun/files/spaceholder.dat" is denied."

So how do I get my android to write data?

Using a file explorer like Root Explorer (paid) or other app like it, to which you may give root permissions, you can change permissions to that directory to enable the save. Long press, change permissions, check write permissions and you are good to go!
