Root Unlocking bought phone.

Okay here's my issue:

I bought this phone off of craigslist and well the phone is locked. I tried to call the girl I bought it from but seems like she's not answering anymore. I'm wondering if there's a way to unlock it? By locked I don't mean carrier wise, but the actual lock screen (pattern). I tried doing a hard reset but it's not letting me, probably because it was disabled, and I also tried connecting it to my computer, but it's not being recognized. Any ideas?

Damn, that stinks. I'm going to dig around a bit on my phone and see if I see anything that mentions a way to bypass it.

Is it rooted perhaps?

EDIT:
I'm going to guess it's rooted, because you chose to post it here - so if that's the case then you could simply flash a new rom over it, because you don't want her data anyway.
Everything about flashing can be found out in the Sticky at the top of the forum.

yeah, I'm a little confused. you should be able to wipe data and the pattern lock will be erased. power off the phone, then hold volume down + power until you phone starts up in the bootloader (white screen with text) at the top of the screen check and see if it says s-off or s- on. if it's s-on, you are not rooted. if it's s-off, press volume down to scroll to recovery. press the power button and you will boot into recovery. whichever recovery you have should give you the option to factory reset. use the volume buttons to highlight that, then press power to select. after it's reset, reboot and the pin/pattern lock should be gone.

if you are not rooted (you have s-on) I'm pretty sure there's still a way that you can wipe from the bootloader, but I don't know the exact process

argedion, I'm pretty sure those links only help if he knows the google account/password that's attached to the phone

Could be but it's what I found this morning :D And the one does say if you don't know the Google info you will need to do the factory Reset.

@OP if you pull the battery out and put it back in hold the volume down button and the Power on button this should take you to your Hboot Screen. If you are not Rooted and/or have no Recovery then you will want to choose the option to Clear Storage. This will erase all user Data.
