So what are you going to buy as soon as you know the release date of the HTC EVO 4G LTE?

Well as soon as I know the release date about a week before I will order a 64 gig micro sd card, a couple of USB cables for the car and work so I can charge and play the waiting game all while trying to decide between the Otter Box Defender or Ballistic will officially announce an HC case.

The phone should still use the same cable as the Evo for charging right?

Dumb question....but I have read on a few threads...what kind of 64GB SD card will work with the LTEVO...

I only ask because when I do get the LTEVO, I want to make sure I have the right SD card to upgrade.

Thanks

Once you get any 64GB card (any class 10, 8 or 6) and format to fat32, then pop in your phone and your good!

I'm not familiar with this; could you explain further? TIA

He is referring to RFID tags you can purchase and with apps likeNFC Task Launcher you can write scripts to those tags such as turning on Bluetooth, max ring volume, and launching the Car app all with the tap of your phone when you enter your vehicle. You can automate almost anything you can think of launching apps, contacts, sound profiles, screen brightness, play a certain song/playlist and write it to an RFID tag.

Once the phone is out I am sure one of the great members of this forum will do a nice "HOW TO" post to get you started;)

precisely!

one idea i personally have is to set up a "night-time" profile for my phone (volume ~%20, brightness down, Bluetooth audio streaming to my pc on) and i plan to program a sticker to activate all this and place it near my bed, therefore when i go to bed, just simply swiping my phone near my bed where the sticker is will turn all this on without hassle, every night.
I've been doing that for years. No stickers necessary. It's called Tasker, or locale, or timeriffic, or task profiles, or...
Seriously though, Tasker.

never purchased any before but i consistently hear good things about this site and will be ordering a few next week...
tagstand - Buy NFC tags, labels, and stickers here.

Yes... the HTC media link allows for full screen reproduction on your TV at all times AS WELL as playing media on your TV yet STILL having full access to your phone. basically, HTC Media Link is capable of mirroring AND separate screens where, as far as i know, MHL is ONLY capable of mirroring, and possibly only for media (no full mirroring all the time)

with the HTC media link you just swipe three fingers up on your screen at any time and it instantly streams whatever you choose to your TV

Wow that looks awesome. I think I'll be picking this up when its available.

Is there going to be a car dock like the one x if so i'm in.

This is what I want to know. I have a universal car dock and it gets the job done but nothing beats a device specific dock for functionality and sexiness.

I am wondering if the one x dock would work, but I think the shape and dimensions are slightly off? If it won't they need to release one ASAP

I must have a screen protector and I want a sedio case. I like there Active better than the surface but there active doesn't have a cut out for the kickstand it has it's own kickstand which is ok I guess. The surface has a cutout for the kickstand on the phone. And I have a home and car dock now and the phone goes into docking mode on both when docked. I want the same two docks again.

Now someone was telling me before about the NFC and tags and I'm still confused but understand it some. I had forgotten about it up until now. So you need to order tags from that website? Or should I download tasker and locale and see what they are and do? Also I will probably get some type of charging vault. I had this powermat charger I won off the sprint forums and didn't know how to use it right and thought it wasn't working and gave it away. Seidio sells this charging vault thing but for now the 1st thing I want is a screen protector and seidio case which probably won't be out by the 18th. I just went to Clarivue and they don't list the new phone yet.

That looks pretty cool, but I don't like that the usb writer doesn't include any software. I did notice that they will program them for me though.

The possibilities with NFC are really intriguing but to start with I'll be most interested in getting a good case/holster combo, a car craddle(if my universal won't work for any reason), and a new bluetooth headset as my original Jawbone is showing it's age.

In regards to the last item, any input for my bluetooth thread would be much appreciated.
