Help how to make voice chat thru gtalk app on galaxy w?

Hi all,
I purchased a Galaxy W yesterday after so much reading & searching internet especially this forum. Now, I noticed that I can only make texts thru gtalk app, which is coming pre-installed with the mobile.
Can I make voice or video chat thru it? Its Android version is 2.3.6

Welcome to AF
Once you open the GTalk app there is a check Mark under your name / where you set your status. Check that box and then you will be able to use that feature.

From what I could find the app is "allowed" in UAE. The check box I was referring to look like this:

Doe it not show you the same option?

Hmm..apparently it is blocked then in your country
Don't really know of an alternative to G Talk that you could(or be permitted) to use but will look around and see if I can find something:thumbup:

I contacted samsung customercare (UAE), they told this phone can do voice chat. But there is no feature for voice/video chat is showing in my phone.
What can I do? Please help.

How can I delete the app itself? I've rooted this phone. So I can use Titanium Backup to uninstall it. But How I will re-download it? I've Searched the app in Play store. But couldn't find it there.
