Root ATR Sticky Suggestions?

Hey Ya'll!
Have said this before(in a few threads as well as to a few people) but if you see something that should be added to the sticky PM Shiny or me or both.

Keeping it organized so that new members or old ones can find things to help the new ones makes it easier.

I think I have most of the ones that need to be in there(I know I am missing some themes) can't recall which ones(Killing it with the new ZVD options):thrasher:

I suggest making the ATR guide this big so that everyone can see it instead of being oblivious to it when they ask a question that can be answered within that post.

That's what the sticky is for really. There is a lot in the works to make another sticky for just common facts per device. Like launcher, apps in general whether rooted or not.
Some are just new to the forum idea ya know-we were all pups at one time.:thumbup:

Oh I know. But it does get hidden. It just needs to stand out more is all im saying.

well my personal opinion is it should probly be renamed to like root support/Q&A or something.. also i think some of the things in that 'sticky' should be 'stickies' themselves.. the important ones anyway.. that sticky being all alone on top is kinda hard to recognize, so maybe if there were more than one people would somewhat notice them a little more..?

The reason its done with just one sticky is so no one thinks something isbetter thats stickied then something that's not.

well thats understandable, but its only a popularity contest when it's people's roms & tweaks up on the board, but if it is actually usefull things to do with rooting/unrooting and just overall awareness i think those are worth a sticky..

i promise im not trying to 'toot' my own horn here but i think the add-ons thread has earned a spot up there.. that is just genuinly usefull to all users for all roms and gets lost in the countless threads, and like mentioned before a lot of people dont notice the guide posted above

then there should be 1 sticky with all the themeing related guides like the ones VsuperuserV has been sharing and the big guide i threw out there

then another sticky with all roms only (somewhat like the "rom Bible" found on xda.. sorry for the xda drop lol

and you get the idea from there.. lol i would love to help out if you want?

This would be the most plausible option. You dont want stickies for every guide, tool, etc......

plus it would make the section BIGGER AND EASIER TO NOTICE.

And maybe title the section "NEW ROOT USERS START HERE".

The bad thing with our phone is all the new versions that had come out. Making it confusing for everyone.
I was asking more along the lines if anybody had any ideas as to what should be added to the existing sticky that we have now

I would suggest you try to organize the thread to be a little more readable. For example:

Guides
Root Guide

• Link 1
• Link 2

Video Tutorials

• Link 1
• Link 2

Stock Apps

• Link 2

etc etc

Its a WIP that will never have an end. We can break it down how y'all want it for sure. Have some ideas as well as the one you guys suggested. Maybe some thread titles need a brief description as the title itself doesn't clearly say what it is for: case in point under recoveries -I would never expect everyone to know that this is the AIO.http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=3709364

Looks good. I was gonna suggest changing the title of ea. color so it doesn't all blend.

I like it.


I think we still need to do something about it on the main page though. I think the thread isn't as noticeable and blends in. I know a lot of forums make you post in a certain section when you first sign up and you cant post anywhere until you post in that specific part. They do that so that you will see that "specific' section and where it's located because you will NEED to use it at some point.

I doubt we can do something like that but I think EVERYONE should know exactly where that thread is, because some how people miss it when they click the "new post" button right above it. lol Or they are lazy and they want everyone to do it for them.......................epsi:
