Great Things about the Note!!

You know, there are all these threads out there with "Issues with the Note" or "Yet again, another Note issue" or "I'm going to sell my note because of this issue!!" and on and on and on...

Now, what happens is, the vast minority of these people are making a fuss and because of that we get yet another round of posts like "I want to buy the note, but I read about this issue" or "Will ICS fix this issue because of not, I don't want it" or whatever have you.

(Flame away at me if you like, but please do it in PM and not this post).

I wanted to start a thread about all the GOOD things people love about the Note!!! When all people read are the issues people are having, they seems to shy away. It's not just here, it's everywhere people can post about things.

Is the Note Perfect? No, but I DARE anyone to point out ANY phone that has NO ISSUES with ANYONE (again, if you are going to flame, PM please).

So, without further delay:

1. The forms factor is great. It's getting enough traction to where HTC is now coming out with a 5.3" variant.
2. The Screen is absolutely AMAZING!!
3. Not a HUGE fan of GB after being on an ICS device, but from the latest videos showing off ICS and the Premium Suite, *DRRRRROOOOOOOOLLLLL*

What do other like/love about their Notes?

Havign recently switched from an iPhone to a Note I must say I love the Note for what I'm using it for mostly; A convenient and great pocket computer, excellent for surfing, checking e-mails, playing games, watching movies, etc. etc.
Yes, I also make phone calls, SMS and MMS, take photos, and send them directly in to the editorial office.
Being a journalist and reporter on the go I got everything I need in my Note. In addition I've got an excellent screen that takes care of my vision, which isn't 20/20 anymore. :)

I just got out of a meeting and was using my SPen to take notes (I normally do this, just came back tot he front of my brain during the meeting). I emailed those to myself (at work) and have them up to reference and I have all of the info I need! :D

I am getting way better with the SPen since I use it a lot. :D

True! Also FANTASTIC for watching movies/videos too! I do this a LOT as I have a long bus commute.

Ditto on being able to read books more comfortably. It provides much more content than smaller form factors. I also love being able to swap out my battery when it's depleted. Can't do that with the One x or iPhone!

As a long time iPhone user and prominent poster in MacRumors, trying to tell most people in those forums that the iPhone just doesn't cut it for stuff like this lands on deaf ears. Yeah, you can read books and play games on an iPhone, but you have to pinch and zoom constantly to read and some games are just too small to even see what you're doing.

Best phone I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them; all the way back to the original Moto brick.

What I like most about it is that I used to carry a smartphone (HTC EVO 4G) and a 7" SGT. The tab fit in my trousers pocket, but made a huge bulge. Now I only have to carry my GNote, in that same pocket; and hardly any bulge at all.

I haven't really begun to explore the power of the SPen, but I can see where I could use it. Now I have a LiveScribe smart pen that makes PDF files of my meeting notes, and syncs an audio recording to the PDF. As soon as someone builds an app that does that, it's by-by LiveScribe.

Just curious, do you know for sure about HTC coming out with a 5.3" phone? I googled it but couldn't find anything about it. Do you know the name of it?

HTC planning Samsung Galaxy Note competitor

Now, for those that want to bash/comment on this one (I posted a link as I brought this up), let's take this to the General Android discussion (as there is no sub-forum for this device yet).

Thanks!

I'm beginning to like it more and more. It took a while for me to adapt to Android, but I've finally found a true successor and replacement to my aging x51v (Windows Mobile). MASSIVE screen for a phone and still fits in my pocket even with the thick padded leather case I'm using with it.

The screen is just beautiful. I can look at the screen and work on documents, spreadsheets, email, internet, etc and develop little to no eye strain or fatigue (I wear glasses). The expandable memory and replaceable battery are an added bonus.

In terms of size, it's actually perfect. It's not small enough to feel cheap and like a toy. It's not big enough to feel like you can't really carry it with you without chucking it into a bag. And it doesn't sacrifice much for a mobile user looking for a tablet without the bulk/size.

I don't use the S-pen a lot, but it works great when I'm making quick notes or notation on a pic. It's also great for doodling.

Gotta love the Note. :D

I agree. It took me a couple days to get used to the size and all, but after that, every time I pick up a smaller phone, it just feels so much like a... toy.

This phone allowed me to chuck the tablet and not look back and regret it for a second! :D

Hi, I want to annotate and highlight sentences in pdf files. Can I do it on the Note?

I am sure there are apps out there that can manage this, but this would be something better asked in a new thread than one like this. May not get as many eyes so you may not get as many responses.
